The Rebel Grandmaster Speaks Out!

I don't believe in jr. black belts!

I have worked too hard to become a Professional Black Belt to let the Martial Arts get Diluted by giving children black belts. And I have to speak out against this.

And seeing overweight children wearing white karate uniforms with a black belt eating a happy meal in public?...Most would be afraid that they might lose students if they spoke out against this.....???

If you were an Adult and went to a Martial Art School to learn, and the first thing you had to do was to bow to a kid wearing a black belt and get in line behind him......????
No wonder we are losing the Adult Martial Artists...

What has Happened in the USA?

Giving Black Belts to children?

Let them grow up first----!!!

We don't have jr.Judges, jr. Doctors, jr. Lawyers, Jr. Police Officers-etc.
they are Professionals, and so are Black Belts!

We were taught truth and honesty in becoming a Black Belt- Right?

Can you honestly say these young kids can pass a real Black Belt Test?

If you are afraid to lose these young people- Give them a zillion more black stripe tests until their bodies and minds are ready for that ultimate Test of life-The Black Belt Test!
Believe me these young students will respect the hard work and the wait, instead of their parents buying a black belt and then bragging that their kid is a black belt.

I am against young people wearing Black Belts---Please Parents and Black Belts wake up!

Hey every one! I just recieved the NASKA World Black Belt Rating-....And guess what?

Yep!  They list the top 3 Black Belts in many catagories--And one -was "Youth Fighting 9 and Under Boys".......

Oh come on NASKA, how can we respect your ratings when you are rating kiddies as black belts.. ????
And can you explain this trend from you-NASKA?

I agree there are so many kids now days with black belts and they do not understand the true menaing of it. They can be pretty talented but they do not understand the respect, honor, or the maturity that you have to gain along the way. In no way can they put the sweet and blood into that the adults have. Sadly money had come into some people's eye more then tradition.

I found you through Kool Rides. They have my 1200 custom. I was in different styles of fighting for 20 years & am currently a certified personal trainer. I'm big on core & like you Master, I'm much younger than my age. I read what you wrote about the out of shape kids wearing black belts. In a real situation, they wouldn't last 30 seconds. After that, they'll KO themselves!! It's sad how people, "even adults" get a false sense of security simply from getting a certain belt color or even take a class @ school & then think they're some kind of bad-ass. In a real situation, it's lights out! Thanks for standing for fitness Bro'. Cheers'...

hey i don't know you from the next guy, but as a martial artist of traditional learning, i can stand by your side and say that children do not have the mental capacity to understand the true meaning of a "black" belt. now i don't use belts, but i am American and i do know what they stand for, seeing obviously lazy or young people wearing them...well its just not right, it gives martial arts a bad name. be it karate-judo-of gung fu so much more is and should be involved in the *master* status, of what ever you want to call it. keep on with the traditions.

Parents and Future Parents of Martial Art Kids!

Do you have children wearing "make believe black belts?" in your Martial Arts School?????

By Educating the Future Parents about the Limitations that their Children can reach,
until their Bodies finish Growing,
then we can slow this trend of giving black belts to children for money.

And again bring Honor to the Original Black Belts.
