Theron K. Cal is a broadcaster, journalist and commentator. Founder and Managing Editor of Real Brother Radio Network headquartered in Los Angeles, California. A native of Seattle Washington Mr. Cal aka The Real Brother began his journey in journalism as a teen working in local radio print and television.
A graduate of the University of Washington with a B.A. in Journalism Mr. Cal has created quite a following as a filmmaker Producing and Directing feature films working closely with Director F. Gary Grey on the groundbreaking “Friday” and “Set It Off”.
Real Brother has produced over fifty feature and documentary films most notably, The Sellout Diaries Vol 1, “Everything You Wanted To Know About Sellouts But Were Afraid To Ask” As a guest on BET’s “Oh Drama” Mr. Cal was introduced to a National audience and remains the subject of one of YouTube’s most controversial videos. Oh Drama’s Sellout show racking up over a million views and counting.
In 2011 Mr. Cal founded The Real Brother Radio Show, “Because The Truth Has Value” a daily talk show with guests and callers where the truth and the facts are the format. The show is the ultimate counter programming to the ninety-eight percent Conservative owned media, where the truth not only has no value it’s been locked outside and told to not come within’ one thousand feet.
Real Brother Radio Network launched in 2014 as the distribution arm of The Real Brother Radio Show. Modeled as the liberal alternative to Politico, BuzzFeed other Conservative media outlets. RBR Network is poised to enter the market at a time when terrestrial radio has gone the way of your local record store. The internet is the final frontier and a testing ground for nontraditional voices looking to steer journalism into the 21st Century and Theron K. Cal is at the helm.
