Well, if you're going to USC then theres no need to go to Ai. I'd try to further my degree instead of getting the same Bachelors in the same major. Thats just me though... plus it'll save you a ton of money. And yeah strictly no amving there. They tell you to avoid copywritten because they have a looooot of stuff you can use for yourself (such as a shit load of songs and even stock footage if you can't shoot videos) but they encourage you to make your own songs and shoot your own videos. If you're a film maker, the only time you'll use stock footage is in a few editing classes. Though, they do have a copywritten law at "all schools I believe" that allows the students to use any song they want just as long as its for the school only.. they don't really tell you that though seeing as how they want you to do stuff yourself. XD

Hm, as of right now nah. SL died and that was the last forum I ever visited (rarely visit the org). A lot of people have been telling me to start a facebook so I'll be doing that soon. Surprisingly, I'm on the 360 a lot, and talk to my people there. Oh and at the Ai, they use plenty of programs. In my field, its mainly FCP, Avid, Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, 3D programs, Photoshop, and other stuff. Its pretty fun seeing all of those programs on the comps.. uptodate and everything.

Despite the cost of the school, its pretty nice. There are a lot of students there so its a bit cramped when it comes to the audio lab but unno we make do. I'm getting into the quarter where we start doing a bit advance stuff so its really getting exciting. Its a lot of hands on work, but a lot of the students lack creativity.. not all, but alot. I've seen some great film students up there... but then again you'll only get a handful of successful students from any school. =)

I mean, most likely I'll change my mind and it just may be USC (South Carolina) if I see that they have a pretty good film school. I am mainly after getting my Masters in it so yeah... Most likely I won't be going to any of the UC's (Cali) because for one I might not be admitted and if I am, the cost of living up there is like none other. Los Angeles is one of the more expensive cities in the U.S. So I'll give the other USC a look-see. Oh and yeah I'm most def ready for the new season. ^_^

Unno, when I think about it I now know you're talking about South Carolina and I'm talking about Southern Cali XD.

Dude, TRUST ME, It's alot better for you to get your gen ed classes out of the way first at a community or a technical college. If you were to go to USC and try to do so, not only will it decrease your chances of entering USC (and even with your gen ed classes out of the way, their acceptance rates are ridiculously low), it will cost a SHIT LOAD. I'm suffering that right now with this damn private school.... just two of my classes probably cost a whole year for a community college. But I'm with you though, I'm trying to get into either USC or UCLA aswell. If I go to Santa Monica College, I'll have a even better chance. Their transfer rate in the UCs are amazingly high.... they were built for transferring students to the UC schools. =) Oh and yeah, GMV = Game Music Videos.

You're in film school? And its been going great for me... Moving onto my 4th quarter, getting into those advance classes and what-not. Lighting, Digital Cinematography pretty soon, Audio classes, and other stuff unno. I'll be posting some of my school projects up along with my GMVs pretty soon.
