Conservation and reducing waste are virtues not sins. If you are so appalled with what you perceive as hysteria building why not make the effort to make a scientific based refutation of the issue rather than a pointless video. You are smart people, read the science, make it understandable to whomever you are trying to appeal to, and make science-based counter arguments.

There's a reason why the founder of the weather channel wants to sue Al Gore and calls Gore's take on global warming, "the biggest fraud of the century."

It's a shame there is so much dis-in-genuine information, on both sides.

Case in point, there are two examples in these few comments. First, the Rant... not much there but a healthy dose of emotion. Second, NowSmileForMe's "facts" that climate change is now happening faster than has "ever" naturally occurred and the biosphere is now a net carbon emitter. Both of these are questionable truth value.

But at this point, who of the general population can know the truth? It is, as it always has been (read Thomas Kuhn's, The Structure of Scientific Revolutions) a function of popular perception both scientific and popular (a line that is blurring) that will build the weight of debate. The scientific community is fundamentally led by money (the climate change academic grants are nothing short of enormous, but, unfortunately, largely one-sided!), and public perception is led by the most sensational and driven by the media. ~rs

Rant ON: The video is tame. The entire envirowhacko movement is based on a pack of complicated lies. They aren't mistakes, falsehoods, misstatements, bad science, or misinterpretations of data. They are lies, lies, lies packed with malice, hatred of anything human, self-loathing combined with control freakery and mindless rejection of individual rights. Rant OFF.

the atmosphere weighs in at 5.5 quadrillion tons . co2 content is half a percent . 80% of that half a percnt is natuural . think about those numbers for a little bit . Do not get confused .
