About Me:
Allthough I listen to and enjoy many types of music this channel is
dedicated to one of my all time
favourite groups,
The Seekers.
The four Australians,Athol Guy,Bruce Woodley,Keith Potger and the girl with such a beautiful voice,Judith Durham, came to Europe in 1964 and sang themselves into our hearts.
I always had a dream to see them perform
live but I was never given the opportunity of such a gift and now time has run out.
What Bruce Woodley said when they broke up in
1968 can also be used now their reunion years are over: "I hope these songs will remain for you to remember us fondly. It's been a pleasure to sing for you".
Yes,we will remember them fondly. Maybe the videos here can help to keep their songs and music alive and that
younger people can come over their
songs here and carry them with them
in their hearts.
Thanks to Tom Springfield and Bruce Woodley for composing so many of their finest songs. And now 45 years later their songs and music are loved more than ever.
Managers:
In the sixties:
Eddie Jarrett
In their reunion years:
John Kovac
A fan,Monjoneous wrote this about them
here on YouTube:
It's also the perfect harmony of the three guys that seems to lift her up in a very special way. When they chime in her voice goes to another level. No doubt, Judith Durham's talent makes the sound of the Seekers absolutely unique, but those guys are equally as good in their own way and really know what they are doing. They are literally the wind beneath her wings.
