Have to thank you for Whiteman I just bought Merry Widow off Ebay and was happy to hear it before it arrived! I know jazz enthousaists denounce him unmercifully but listen to his 20s version of Nobodys Sweetheart of the flip side of Georgie Porgie and tell me that ain't jazz!!!. In any respect his is a ultra rich soud that is still a pleasure to listen to. I have dozens of his 78s and to hear them (sparingly) on my 1925 Orthophonic Credenza is heaven. Keep up the great posts!
