What Do You Mean, You Want Me to Create Something?
Are you what friends or coworkers call a "creative" type? No, we don't just mean you've got that word in a job title (though that's fine too.) Welcome to Create or Else, the home you've never had... until now. If you make interesting stuff, or know someone who does, then join us, to show and share work that inspires. What's in it for you? Worldwide glory, a feeling of supreme personal satisfaction and maybe even a dose of inspiration for yourself. PS: Well done Todd. I would also love to see the final videos from Lions.
Thanks for a great competition. It was big fun to take part. Will this happen again sometime soon, or will the next World's greatest salesperson be needed only after another 50 years or so?
Cheers, Philip
The other two, I can't find their brick selling videos, only their 'made the final 3' videos, so no comment on them.
I thought the pt of giving an *unknown* a chance at turning their creativity+drive into an opp to be a potential Ogilvy sales maverick was to suss out those who'd prove 2b problematic disciples, unable to respect regulation.
The fact that finalists were bound for Cannes told me something visually creative was in order. My "film" was 1:59 long +resulted in sales.
I was quite devastated that my creativity & adherence to the rules did not result in an opp to present either my written or interview skills.
That said, I want to thank Mr. Rory Sutherland 4being so gracious & attentive. TY Ogilvy for the opportunity. Yong, excellent but for the brick alteration. Eric, I hope you are victorious.
Dear Mr. Ogilvy's Spirit,
I thought...If I don't [sell] follow the rules, I don't eat. I would have loved to have learned all about yourself and your prodigious company. Please say hello to my grandpa.
So go ahead and be bitter if you want. It's a really awesome approach.
I'm sure the judges will see your super cool comments and totally change their minds.
