The moniker 'NYTN' is a comical/socio-political reference about myself, meaning I DO NOT MEET THE STEREOTYPES or EXPECTATIONS OF OTHERS when it comes to race, religion, politics, or certain other ideological domains. Hence, one must understand -- I am 'Not Your Typical Negro'.

As for the 'Negro' reference, Marcus Garvey, the Rev Dr. Martin Luther King, and Malcolm X all referred to themselves and other African-descended people as such. And if it was good enough for them, it's good enough for me.

So with my name, I discourage people from seeing me -- a Black man -- and automatically assuming they know what I think and believe.
