Performance isn't affected by choosing a third party vendor. Unless noted it will almost always concern a reference card: the way amd meant the card to be configured.
Base your choice on extra's you get with different third party vendors. I for one would choose XFX for their Double warranty which means that the person who will one day maybe buy the card from you also gets warranty on his card. Most vendors will tell you what you get and won't get out of the box.
