Corroded is a Swedish Heavy metal band from Ånge, Sweden. The band became best known for their song Time And Again which was the theme song for the Swedish 2009 Survivor television series on TV4.[1][2] The band's second album Exit to Transfer, released in October 2010 for Ninetone Records, reached number 6 on the Swedish national record chart Sverigetopplistan.[3]

Drone ist eine deutsche Metalband aus Celle.

Bandgeschichte Drone:
Drone wurde im Jahr 2004 in Celle gegründet. Im Januar 2006 wurde die Demo-EP Octane veröffentlicht. Im selben Jahr gewannen sie den „Wacken Metal Battle 2006" des Wacken Open Air. Außerdem erreichten sie die westdeutsche Endausscheidung des Emergenza 2006. Drone war Vorband von Die Apokalyptischen Reiter und Korpiklaani. Im Februar 2007 erschien das Debütalbum Head-on Collision bei Armageddon Records. Im Oktober 2007 ging Drone mit den finnischen Bands Norther und Amoral auf eine dreiwöchige Europatour. Im März 2009 erschien ihr Album Juggernaut. Die offizielle CD-Veröffentlichung hat am 25. April 2009 in der CD-Kaserne in Celle stattgefunden. Anfang April 2009 gingen sie mit Ektomorf, Debauchery und Aggressive Fear auf Deutschlandtour.

Musikstil Drone:
Drone spielen eine Mischung aus Thrash Metal, Groove Metal, Death Metal und Metalcore. Als Vorbilder gelten Fear Factory, Machine Head und Pantera.

Misery Index ist eine US-amerikanische Death Metal-Band mit politischen Texten.

Bandgeschichte Misery Index:

Misery Index wurde 2001 von Jason Netherton (Bass) und Mike Harrison (Gitarre) gegründet. Als Drummer holen sie sich Kevin Talley, der früher - genauso wie Netherton - bei Dying Fetus gespielt hat. Man veröffentlichte zusammen die EP Overthrow und holt danach noch ein ehemaliges Dying-Fetus-Mitglied, nämlich Sparky Voyles (g) dazu. Es folgt eine Split-EP mit Commit Suicide, nach der Harrison und Talley aus der Band aussteigen - nur der Schlagzeugposten wird daraufhin mit Matt Byers (Ex-Severed Head) neu besetzt. Es erscheint noch eine Split-EP mit Structure of Lies, bevor es 2003 endlich an die Aufnahmen zum Debütalbum Retaliate geht; vor der Veröffentlichung holt man sich noch Bruce Greig als zweiten Gitarristen ins Boot - auch er war früher bei Dying Fetus (bei Misery Index spielen inzwischen mehr Dying Fetus Mitglieder als bei Dying Fetus selbst...). Der Longplayer kommt Ende 2003 bei Kritikern und Fans gut an und mit Nuclear Blast bekommt man von einem großen Metallabel zugleich den Rücken gestärkt. Misery Index veröffentlichten im Mai 2006 ihre neue CD bei Relapse Records und diese behielt den Stil aus Grindcore, Hardcore und Deathmetal, kombiniert mit sozialkritischen und links-politisch orientierten Texten, bei. Die CD trägt den Namen "Discordia". 2008 wurde das Album "Traitors" veröffentlicht. Auf dieser ist unter anderem auch Tomas Lindberg [At The Gates; Disfear] zu hören. Im Mai 2010 ist das aktuelle Album "Heirs To Thievery" erschienen.

Neaera ist eine Melodic-Death-Metal-Band aus Münster, die teilweise auch dem Metalcore zugerechnet wird.

Bandgeschichte Neara:
Der zuvor in der Deathgrind-Formation Malzan aktive Gitarrist Tobias Buck gründete im Sommer 2003 ein Nebenprojekt, das in Richtung Hardcore mit schwedischen und Power-Metal-Einflüssen tendieren sollte. Das Lineup bestand zu Anfang aus Sebastian Heldt, Benny Hileke, Benjamin Donath und Tobias Buck. Kurz vor dem ersten Auftritt entstand der neue Bandname The Ninth Gate. Bald darauf stieß Stefan Keller als zweiter Gitarrist dazu, der die Band durch seine tief im Hardcore und Death Metal verwurzelten Riffideen zu ihrem heutigen Sound brachte.
Nach der Ausarbeitung von Material begab sich die Band im Februar 2004 ins Docma-Klang-Studio in Osnabrück, um an zwei Wochenenden ein Demo einzuspielen. Am 2. April 2004 bekamen sie einen Plattenvertrag von Metal Blade Records angeboten. Im Rahmen dessen wurde der Bandname neu gewählt -- Neaera nach dem Namen einer altgriechischen Hetäre.
Unter diesem Namen ging es dann im November 2004 ins Studio Stage-One, um mit Produzent Andy Classen das erste richtige Album aufzunehmen. The Rising Tide Of Oblivion erschien am 21. März 2005. Im Herbst folgten eine Europatournee mit Heaven Shall Burn, As I Lay Dying, Evergreen Terrace, Agents of Man und End of Days sowie mehrere Shows in Deutschland, Österreich, der Schweiz, den Niederlanden, Dänemark und Estland. Eine weitere Tour mit Caliban, Fear My Thoughts, Destiny und Narziss beendete das Jahr.
Am 7. April 2006 veröffentlichten Neaera unter Mithilfe von Produzent Jacob Hansen ihr Zweitwerk Let the Tempest Come. Nach Veröffentlichung des Albums folgten weitere Europatouren. Anfang 2007 gingen Neaera auf die Road To Devastation-Tour mit Quo Vadis, Fear My Thoughts und Kataklysm.
Am 21. Februar 2007 kündigten Neaera auf ihrer Myspace-Seite an, einen Videomitschnitt des Konzertes vom 19. Mai 2007 in Münster zu machen. Dieser Videomitschnitt ist mit der Limited Edition ihres dritten Albums als Bonus-DVD erschienen. Am 2. August 2007 spielte Neaera auf dem Wacken Open Air. Ein paar Wochen später erschien am 24. August 2007 das neue Album Armamentarium. Ein Armamentarium ist eine Rüstkammer oder beschreibt die Instrumentensammlung eines Arztes. Die erste Headliner-Tournee durch Deutschland und mehrere Nachbarländer folgte im Herbst 2007 mit Deadlock als Support. Im Frühjahr 2008 war die Band auf Tour mit As I Lay Dying und spielte auf dem Summerbreeze Festival 2008.
Am 27. Mai 2009 wurde das vierte Studioalbum Omnicide -- Creation Unleashed veröffentlicht.
Am 13. Juli 2010 verkündete die Band auf ihrer Webseite, dass die Aufnahmen zum fünften Album abgeschlossen seien. Es erschien am 22. Oktober 2010 und trägt den Namen Forging the Eclipse.[1][2]
Die Schlagzeugaufnahmen erfolgten im Stage One Studio von Andy Classen, die restlichen Instrumente und der Gesang wurden im Rape of Harmonies Studio unter Leitung von Alexander Dietz aufgenommen. Das Mischen und Mastern übernahm der dänische Produzent Tue Madsen. Im Anschluss an die Veröffentlichung des Albums absolviert Neaera zusammen mit Caliban, All That Remains, Bleed from Within und Soilwork eine Tour durch das westliche Europa und Skandinavien.[3]

Red Fang is an American stoner rock band from Portland, Oregon.


Band History Red Fang:
Red Fang's 2009 debut for record label Sargent House collected their first two releases, which were limited release EPs. The band followed with Murder the Mountains, released on Relapse Records, in 2011.[1][2] Chris Funk produced Murder the Mountains.[3] Red Fang has appeared on the Metalliance tour with bands like Crowbar and Helmet and opened on the Jägermeister stage on this year's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival which included Megadeth, Godsmack, and Disturbed as headliners.
On September 12, 2011, Red Fang was announced to be the one of the openers (the other being The Dillinger Escape Plan) to support Mastodon on their United States and European headlining tours from October to March.

36 Crazyfists (auch bekannt unter dem Kürzel 36CF) ist eine Metalcore-Band aus Anchorage, Alaska, deren Bandname aus dem Jackie-Chan-Film The 36 Crazy Fists aus dem Jahre 1977 stammt.

Bandgeschichte [Bearbeiten]

Inspiriert von Bands wie Metallica, Deftones und Only Living Witness gründeten Sänger Brock Lindow, Gitarrist Ryan Brownell, Bassist JD Stuart und Schlagzeuger Thomas Noonan 1994 die Band 36 Crazyfists.[2] Die Idee zum Namen entstand durch den Film The 36 Crazy Fists aus dem Jahre 1977.[1] Es entstand 1995 die erste Demo unter dem Namen Boss Buckle, woraufhin die Band 1996 nach Portland umzogen um ihren Bekanntheitsgrad zu steigern, wobei kurz vorher Bassist JD Stuart bei einem Autounfall tödlich verunglückte und durch Mick Whitney ersetzt werden musste. 1997 folgte anschließend die erste EP Suffer Tree, gefolgt von einer weiteren Demo namens In the Skin. Im selben Jahr veröffentlichten sie ihre erste LP In the Skin in Eigenregie. Zwei Jahre später erschien mit Demo '99 die dritte Demo der Band.
Über Freunde in der Band Skinlab kamen sie in Kontakt mit dem Label Roadrunner Records, bei dem sie 2000 einen Plattenvertrag erhielten. Ihr Debütalbum Bitterness the Star erschien 2002 und wurde mit einer US-Tour gemeinsam mit Chimaira, Candiria und God Forbid und einer Europa-Tour mit Killswitch Engage und Five Pointe O promoted.

Im März 2004 veröffentlichten sie das zweite Album A Snow Capped Romance wieder bei Roadrunner. Ende des Jahres folgte eine Tour mit Killswitch Engage, From Autumn to Ashes und Bury Your Dead. Kurz nach der Tour fing die Band mit den Arbeiten zum nächsten Album an, welches 2006 unter dem Namen Rest Inside the Flames erschien. An dem Album wirkten sowohl Killswitch-Engage-Sänger Howard Jones, Tom Gomes, der ebenfalls bis 2003 bei Killswitch Engage spielte, so wie Jonah Jenkins von der Band Miltown mit. Zudem erreichte die Band erstmals in der Bandgeschichte in den britischen Charts eine Platzierung.[3]
Im Juli 2007 gab die Band bekannt, dass sie von Roadrunner Records zu Ferret Music gewechselt sind, wo sie am 27. Mai 2008 das Album The Tide and Its Takers veröffentlichten. Nach Auftritten bei Rock am Ring und Rock im Park folgten noch zwei weitere Clubshows mit Emil Bulls in Köln und Kempten. Anschließend verließ Bassist Mick Whitney die Band, um mehr für seine Frau und Kinder da zu sein. Für Live-Auftritte holten die restlichen drei Mitglieder ihren alten Gitarren-Techniker Brett "Buzzard" Makowski in die Band, welchen sie kurz darauf als festes Mitglied bestätigten.[4]
Am 23. Juli 2010 erschien ihr sechstes Album Collisions and Castaways wieder unter Roadrunner Records, welches von Andy Sneap produziert wurde. Das Album war im Gegensatz zu den Vorgängern wesentlich härter und enthielt auch mehr melodische Elemente. Die Texte, welche von Frontmann Brock Lindow geschrieben worden sind, behandelten hauptsächlich persönliche Ereignisse aus dem Leben des Sängers.[5]

5 BUGS sind eine 2001 gegründete Band aus Berlin, Deutschland. Ihren Musikstil kann man in den Bereich des Alternative Rock einordnen, wobei durchaus auch weitere Einflüsse wahrnehmbar sind.

Geschichte 5 Bugs

2004 veröffentlichten sie ihr erstes Album To No One Else Except You, 2006 das zweite mit dem Titel Tomorrow I'll Play God. Beide Alben wurden vom Gitarristen Florian Nowak aufgenommen und produziert und erschienen auf Record of the Year (To No One Else Except You) und dem Rocklabel Rockhit Records / Universal (Tomorrow I'll Play God).

Bis Ende 2007 hat die Band über 300 Konzerte in Deutschland und Österreich gegeben.
Nach weiteren Deutschlandtourneen haben sie am 23. Januar 2009 ihr drittes Album mit dem Titel Best Off veröffentlicht. Am 9. Januar 2009 erschien die erste Single daraus: Wake me after midnight. Die Tour zum "Best Off" Album führte die Band bei über 65 Konzerten quer durch Deutschland und Österreich und wurde die bisher erfolgreichste Tour der fünf Berliner. Im Oktober 2009 spielten sie ihr Tourabschluss Konzert, um danach in einer längeren Konzertpause an einem neuen Album zu arbeiten. 2010 veröffentliche die Band die EP "2010". Sie steht zum freien Download auf der Homepage zur Verfügung.

Am 7. Dezember 2010 gaben die 5Bugs auf ihrer Homepage bekannt, dass der Schlagzeuger Samy El-Munayer die Band verlässt, aber noch im Hintergrund aktiv sein wird.

Am 17. Mai 2011 gab die Band auf ihrer Homepage bekannt, dass das neue Studio-Album, welches auf den Namen Vora City hört, am 23. September 2011 erscheinen wird.
