(Of course the style was nowhere near as adorable as it was in the original, but oh well.) I really liked the way the swordsman class looked in the first RO2, it was... interesting.
I also tried to play iRO again recently, but the installer won't work for my Windows 7... what a bummer. The renewal system was just implemented too.
There was one time when other people were social with me in Ragnarok Online... and I actually really enjoyed it. It's quite the surprising difference. However I've never had a big group of friends who play any MMO type game together, although the prospect does interest me to some extent. It sounds enjoyable anyway.
That's really too bad about dearly stars. Hopefully Im@s 2 for the consoles won't be nearly as disappointing.
Since you have a DS, have you ever played the rune factory Harvest Moon Games? They might not be your thing, but I personally enjoy them.
Believe me, I know how that is. Here's what I have to say about Ragnarok Online
I usually go in with just myself and exit with the same, it's pretty hard for me to make friends, especially in online games, but I do know that RO is the type of game that scales in enjoyment relative to the amount of people you can play it with. Yet most servers seem to suffer from the community for the most part, either the community is close knit and impossible to touch ground with, or really spread out and has like 5 different languages active at all times. Then even if you can find a good medium for that, you have to hope that the admins (because this is a private server) aren't going to screw things up horribly with ugly/overpowered custom items.
You just want to be a little social, yet everyone feels so creepy and distant.
I like Tales of Symphonia. (My avatar is Presea, though it's impossible to tell without knowing that prior to seeing the image. I want to play the console Idolm@ster.
I never got Dearly Stars to work. I've... never played GTA IV even though I have it.
Do you understand/speak Japanese?
