The year is 1814. Off the shores of Baltimore floats the indomitable fleet of the British Empire. On September 12, 1814 the might of British Imperial power is unleashed on the city's defenses, yet for three days the American defenders hold their ground until finally the British give up and leave. In those days the people of a poorer, weaker country stood up against the might of a rich superpower aggressor. Now things haven't changed much. Except the roles are changed. Now, with blessing of good luck, America has become the rich superpower. However, that does not give us reason to commit against poorer countries the same crimes that our 18th century British masters committed against us. We need to follow in the footsteps of our founding fathers, not in the footsteps of the European empires of old. We must not forget why our founding fathers fought for independence.

I think we need to stop the aggressive foreign policy, and deal with important issues here at home. We need to bring our troops home from Iraq. We need to stop wasting the millions of dollars bombing Libya. We need to pass the power in Afghanistan to the Afghans and we need to get out of there as well. 10 years in Afghanistan is long enough. Osama Bin Ladin is dead, we finally got him, now let's bring the boys home.

America was founded to stand up against tyranny. America was set up as a republic to limit governmental power over the people. Americans have fought against aggressive foreign superpowers from the War for Independence until World War II. Let's not become the aggressive foreign superpower to the rest of the world.

Long live the Republic!

I've noticed a lot of Anti-American bias lately. And believe me, I have no problem with people who hate our government. But I do have a problem with people who make hateful remarks about all Americans. The worst one is "Americans are stupid". The most ironic thing about this is that they say this on Youtube, which is of course one of the many brilliant things Americans have brought to this world. There are a lot of dumb people in this country, but there are also a lot of smart people. However, I think the really dumb people are the ones who are too ignorant and too prejudice to see that not all Americans are stupid. Please direct your Anti-American hatred toward the Government and the corrupt American elites, they are the ones who are the problem.

I've also noticed a lot of nationalism. Let me tell you something, nationalism is stupid. It has been the number one cause of war and empire for the last several hundred years. Nationalism, like racism, is a great evil of mankind. We are all human beings.

If you think you are inherently better than someone in another country then you are a xenophobe. For those of you who don't know what a xenophobe is, it is a racist, but instead of being prejudice against a group of people because of their race, you are prejudice because of their country of origin. So in other words, you are no better than a racist
