Also, credit is due a bunch of very creative folks who provided the additional props, sets, tools and costumes that help me be more flexible with my stories: Fraas, Frenho, TigerEyes, Gleem, Johan Sturk, Taro, Traison, Stvndysn and Mel Ghoul. My apologies to those I might have missed.

It's official! My opinion of Windows Vista has changed from guardedly neutral to strong dislike. I have my laptop up and running, at least about 95% running, but I can't run "The Movies" until I get a recovery disk from Acer, since Vista will not let me (or the techs who worked on this laptop for a week) use the downloadable version of the correct video driver. Of course, the driver Vista insists on using is NOT compatible with "The Movies."

This means, with apologies to anyone waiting patiently for more, no more episodes of anything for at least two more weeks. It also means I'm looking for all the drivers I need to either migrate back to XP or 2000 as I'm not optomistic that even the recovery disk will do what I need done.

Again, my apologies to anyone waitng for more and a strong recommendation to stay away from Microsoft Windows Vista.

This is my third try to respond. It seems YouTube is having some problems too. Anyway, I didn't mind Vista, although it had some quirks like the "hover click" feature and excessive security prompts. It was advertised as being more secure and more stable. I am disappointed that it seems it was neither. I would NOT be upset if I needed to go back to XP.

What I really want is to go back to playing around with "The Movies" etc.

Cool, Vista gets mixed reviews - you either love it or loathe it - I suspect you are currently in the latter camp :)

Booby Trap was meant to be a filler as I was still having troubles recoving everything on my laptop, as evidenced by the different "Amber Skyz" in this animation.

The good news was that Vista allowed me to reinstall. The bad news is [1] it won't recognize the key code and [2] it crashed again. I gave up and brought it in to be repaired. Either they'll fix Vista or I'll strip everything from the machine and start again with a more functional operating system.

They say they think I can be up and running again but Monday. If that's the case, I hope to finish "From Fire, From Ice" within the week.

So any plans to finish From Fire, From Ice?
JayeMichael | January 29, 2008
My apologies, but there will be a brief delay (hopefully less than two weeks) while I curse and struggle (and then probably give up and pay someone) to get Microsoft Vista Basic working again.

Thanks, and yes; both were designed to be able to have sequels. META was never really planned to end and I think I wrote all of one and a half chapters of a sequel to TO SHAPE ONE'S LIFE. No promises as to when I might get to them, but if there are things you'd like to see in terms of plotting for either of these stories, please feel free to let me know.

I am really enjoying your stories so far, both Meta and To Shape your life look like there could be sequels in the future - any comment?
Also From Fire, From Ice is shaping up very nicely - i read the original and this is a pretty good adaptation.
