The music that accompanys you coming of age is the thing that stays with you all the time - Joe Satriani.
About Me:

Hello there! I'm Pete, a respectful and genuine member of the ever-growing YouTube community. Couldn't get any kinder to viewers. I'm wise, cheerful, generous, and well-known to be polite, and a good friend.

If you've visited my page then you must have a fine taste for music, I never dreamt two short years ago my channel would become popular, with 5,900 visitors, 190 subscribers, 510 friends and many compliments and anecdotes from fellow YouTubers - thank you so very much for the support that keeps me going!

I mainly listen to the fantastic Joe Satriani, and many other guitar virtuosi which are Jimi Hendrix, Steve Vai, Joe Bonamassa, Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert, Carlos Santana and hundreds more original and modern groups!
I play the guitar every day now, I absolutely love it! I find it a very difficult instrument to understand but no matter what I do I always want to play and get better at it; in terms of my first cover I don't know yet, whenever I feel I'm ready. Most days I spend a lot of time listening to these artists special music, for entertainment and inspiration on my playing. I'm also here to watch other guitarists covers and see them develop into talented musicians, it's cool! Probably the reason I get loads of attention, I'm too damn nice! I really enjoy listening to complex instrumental rock music, without ever getting fed up, I listen to the Live in San Francisco DVD by Satch every month or so, I'm big into it. I can play the Glockenspiel, Piano and Keyboard fairly well, I learned tp play those at high school. I've commented in many satch videos as you've probably noticed, some are quite eloquent and stateful and others are slightly silly, just depends on my how I'm feeling. It's up to ourselves to lodge our respectful opinions and personal mentalities.

I'm also an avid aviation enthusiast. I've been intrigued and fascinated by flight since I was five years old, it was the first real aspiration I had in life; and I hope I'm able to get a career out of it. I'm currently studying at James Watt College in Greenock for HNC Aircraft Engineering.

If you are a newcomer to the Satch generation or a fan at heart then use of my packed favourite choices on the right for relevance and quickness.

Feel free to vouch your own opinions on the bottom right comments tab for queries, video advertising, improvements I could make and general remarks. I'm here to stay, and I'm eager to help if you require more information.

Music:
Joe Satriani and his amazing band: Jeff Campitelli, Galen Henson and Stuart Hamm = Johnathan Mover, Dave LaRue, John Cuniberti, Eric Caudieux, Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Cozy Powell, Bryan Adams, Alice Cooper, The Scorpions, Status Quo, Bob Marley, Buddy Holly, Ted Nungent, Bon Jovi, Eric Johnson, Elton John, SRV, Joe Bonamassa, Johnny Cash, BB King, George Benson, Les Paul, Green Day, Linkin Park, Van Halen, AC/DC, Motorhead, Leslie West, Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath, Steely Dan, Frank Zappa, Slash, Zakk Wylde, ZZ TOP, Chickenfoot, Alcatraz, Steve Morse, Tom Morello, Joscho Stephan, Jimmy Rosenberg, John Jorgenson, Ry Cooder, Matt Bachand, Randy Rhoads, Tommy Emmanuel, Eric Clapton, Michele Cusato, Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci, Steve Vai, Joe Perry, Guthrie Govan, Marty Friedman, Doug Doppler, Billy Sheehan, Herman Li, Andy Timmons, Yngwie Malmsteen, Gary Moore, Jeff Healey, Jeff Beck, David Lee Roth, Dio, Vinnie Moore, Rory Gallagher, Seasick Steve, Bob Dylan, Robin Trower, Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Page, Kirk Hammett, Asik Veysel, Johnny A, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Still Pending, Tallan Latz, Quinn Sullivan, The Jammin' Dodgers, Alex Raz, Steve Raz, Patrick Rondat, Robert Fripp, Peter Frampton, Peter Green, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Whitesnake, Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Guns N' Roses, Iron Maiden, U2, The WHO, The Jam, The Stranglers, Nazareth, Black Oak Arkansas, Queen, Genesis, Mountain, Sash, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, DuranDuran, The Verve, Rolling Stones, Meatloaf, Jeff Wayne's War Of The Worlds, Yes, Sinatra, The Beatles, The G3 Jam, Hot Wind, The Police, Cream, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Dire Straits, Ritchie Blackmore (Rainbow), The Corries, The Sparks, The Darkness - most genres/originals of popular and virtuosi music: heavy rock, instrumentals and prog rock / (nu) metal / modern / jams / blues / jazz / fusion. Although I can alternatively listen to folk, ballads, traditional, country, classic, acoustic, flamenco, scottish and occasionally techno music. Instrumental guitarists tend to take a while to get used to their taste, texture and feel - it's very, VERY advanced stuff, eventually you'll realise the guitar can actually melodically sing far more eloquently than any vocalist, in my view. But no first timer can listen to Yngwie Malmsteen - Far Beyond The Sun for example - and understand it straight away, it's just not done, it takes time and a creative mind. I'm not a massive fan of hip-hop, grime, pop, rap, death metal, thrash or anything that's too heavyweight, untalented or is not listenable. I respect anyone who can play the guitar well, because I know how dedicated you need to be. My favourite ever song, and I do mean ever is Ceremony, a track on the 1998 album Crystal Planet. The song itself is so inspiring and wonderful to listen to, the main riff is extremely powerful and the solo is ridiculous (as in awesome). It is sadly an underrated Satch tune - maybe that's why I never hear it played live any longer.
Books:
Aviation articles, magazines and anything by Roald Dahl, Ted Hughes or Carol Ann Duffy. I also like Arthur Miller's drama works. If you know a good read you may recommend it to me. The Great Gatsby is a novel that I like.
