About Me:
 
Hello! I'm Irene, I' m 19 years old and I was born in Catania, Sicily. I started the study of classical guitar at eleven years old with M° Mario Scirè. I took part in a lot of guitar musical contest where I obtained excellent results and I performed always with my guitar in a lot of regional places. In November 2005 my school was the protagonist of an Mtv program, "Mtv school in action", and I was selected to sing an original version of the Ben E. King's success "Stand by me", thanks to a good audition, where I sung a piece of a Riccardo Cocciante's musical "Notre Dame De Paris". After this experience I sung in little pop/rock bands and I started to wrote my own songs. In the same time I continued the study of the classical guitar and in September 2007 I took a degree in Music theory and Solfeggio at the "V. Bellini" conservathory. In December 2007 thanks to "LiberoPalco", a project for young artists, I had the opportunity to play in the prestigious Catanese theatre "Sangiorgi". Recently, thanks to YouTube and Leona Lewis's team, I' ve the opportunity to appear in the Leona Lewis's YouTube favourites for two weeks, because I won the 7th contest of "Leona Lewis Youtube singing competition".
