I am so existed that I taped into a goldmine in the midst of the worst economic downturn in the last 100 years!
As a person who survived the default of Russian currency, and then made it through a recession in America while learning English and building a better life for my family, I can tell you that Everything is Possible for YOU in this life!
Back in the USSR
I was born in the heart of Russia.
After graduating from university, with my Masters Degree, I worked as a manager in a big company.
After the Soviet Union collapsed, the economy in Russia went down rapidly. To survive the currency default I started my own business, but one day I realized that there was no bright future for my kids in Russia.
It was hard for me, but I decided to move to America.
Welcome to the USA
As a mechanical engineer I chose Detroit as my new home. My dream was to get a job at Ford, Chrysler or GM, but first I had to find any job to survive!
It was hard to find any job without English, as you can imagine.
I enrolled in college and after I finished it, I started on a combat mission for a good job.
In two years, I got an offer from one of the Big Three Companies in Detroit and started to make decent money.
American Dream Reality?
It was so great to feel like a part of a big automotive empire!
But it was a stressful job. I literally didnt see daylight!
I was sick and tired of getting up at 5 am, fighting traffic everyday for years, while working for a company that was losing money all along.
I was constantly living in fear that I might not have a job tomorrow.
I got the sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach, every time I saw others around me getting the boot, after 15 and 20 years on the job.
I was asking myself why is all of this happening to me for the second time in my life.
Is that what I came to this country for? Is that what people go to school and get in debt with student loans for?
I knew it wasnt my fault, but also I knew that there is no bailout for me in this situation.
I needed just a little advice, just a little hint how to get out of this rat race. I constantly was looking for a backup plan.
My Back up Plan from the Rat Race
Once again Ive realized that the ONLY way to control your future and live the life you want on your own terms, is to own your own business. Finally, I discovered my way out! I spent so much time trying to find this kind of system and now I know what I am doing for the rest of my life!
Look, if I could fight my way to the American dream and make it through a recession in a different country while learning English, there is no excuse for you.
