From 2005 to 2009, Canadian taxpayers paid $350+ billion in interest on the national debt.
Canadian Federal Debt
2009 - $463.7 billion
2010 - $550+ billion
February 2011 - $558+ billion
Canada's federal debt grows daily by $153 million.
In just three years (2007-2009), all federal debt repayment in Canada since 1997 was wiped-out.
"Once a nation parts with the control of its currency and credit, it matters not who makes that nation's laws. Usury, once in control, will wreck any nation. Until the control of the issue of currency and credit is restored to government and recognized as its most conspicuous and sacred responsibility, all talk of the sovereignty of Parliament and of democracy is idle and futile." -William Lyon Mackenzie King, Prime Minister, Canada
The Bank of Canada creates 5% of the money supply in Canada. Private banks create 95% as debt at substantial interest. Private banks have privatized the money supply in Canada. Banks create money out of nothing.
The Canadian government can borrow interest free money from the Bank of Canada, but chooses to borrow from private banks at substantial interest.
Although the Bank of Canada can provide provincial and municipal governments funding at rates well below private bank rates, they choose to borrow from private banks at substantial interest.
All countries, on behalf of citizens, borrow as debt at substantial interest from private banks. Most, if not all, income tax dollars service debt interest.
Media reports estimate the cost of the Afghanistan war to the Canadian taxpayer will be $22 billion. IMO, that estimate should be doubled.

Two thirds of the world will not have access to fresh drinking water by 2025.
Water is a $400 billion per year industry.
Don't buy bottled water. It is a scam.
Free water is a basic human right.
