Hidden Frontier is set after the Dominion War featured in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. When Rob Caves, Executive Producer created Hidden Frontier, he wanted to combine the best elements of the Next Generation era Trek shows he grew up with. On Hidden Frontier, we have a space station, Deep Space Twelve, as well as a starship, the Galaxy Class U.S.S. Excelsior, NCC-77246. This allows us to explore the Star Trek universe in just about any way our writers can imagine.

The Hidden Frontier "family" of shows now includes Star Trek: Odyssey, Star Trek: The Helena Chronicles and Star Trek: Federation One.

Coming in 2009 "Henglaar M.D." audio show.

NOTE : For the best viewing experience select "Watch High Resolution" where available.

I am no usually a fan of "fan films". When I first saw them, I didn't have too much complimentary to say about them. However, as time goes on, things, as is usually the case, improve and such is the case with your takes on the Star Trek Universe. Some of it, especially involving the Helena, have a lot of potential and could one day easily become part of the "real" Trek franchise. While I have gotten to like Odyssey and where it is going, I personally believe it is falling into being another "Voyager" which is something it should not be. Helena should take great care from becoming a "Blake's 7", but the concept of a renegade Starfleet vessel being pursued by a character with a questionable past (Capt. Maxwell) is intriguing and has me hooked.
Anyway, that's my .02 cents worth. Congrats on a good series and best of luck with it in the future.

Gays in space make sense.
Abstinance is pretty hard, if not impossible.
And I guess being in labour on a shuttle isn't exactly practical.

It isn't like some people say about the unnatural acting, it's about the moments when it actually catches you, and you're there : 24th century and people solving their problems in all sorts of ways, utilizing alien or fictional technology. I do miss accesoires and trippy viewscreens with weird simo's of the tech they're utilizing.
I'll be back.

Not sure how many times they got off during Hidden Frontier it's not the sort of thing I count.
They were married in the last episode of Hidden Frontier.
They get it off in Odyessy 1x01 before Nevin boards the USS Odyessy.

I intend not to be rude, rather giving my honest opinion, but the acting in these fan shows is often really bad, especially on the important lines. Breaks are in the wrong places, emphasis is on the wrong words, and flow between actors is unnatural. The looks on their faces reminds you on every line that it is made by amateurs.

I myself an am amateur actor, and appreciate the work that the actors are doing, but I just can't watch more than 5 minutes of any episode because of the acting.

The music, effects, and editing are generally suberb, by the way. I'm not just a nay-sayer.
