An NES chiptune enthusiast who adores exotic rhythms. He has once recreated the whole Super Mario Bros. 3 OST in FamiTracker, yet did not receive the name "HertzDevil" until one of his FTMs abused a technically impossible overclocked experiment. Now he mainly lurks around deviantART as well as maintain a comprehensive list of all fanmade Robot Masters from the Classic Mega Man series.

HertzDevil was once a keen brony, but later he quitted from the fanbase due to it "not being more meaningful than Touhou in any way". He often arbitrarily makes fun out of wars between bronies and anti-bronies. All these matters may generally be disregarded outside deviantART.

1) What do you use to compose music?
A: Mainly FamiTracker, an accurate audio tracker based on the Famicom/NES sound chip. For PC-98 compositions, M.Kajihara's OPNA PMD driver is used; and if you are lucky enough, I might also do random stuffs with FL Studio 10. I do NOT use FL10 to make chiptune!

2) MP3/NSF/FTM download plz
A: No. I believe that you know how to extract audio from YouTube videos. MEGA ZUN is an exception but I still won't provide download links here. There's a Tweewoo for that:

As for NSF downloads, FamiTracker is not omnipotent at exporting NSFs from every FTM. Some certain FTMs can be found at my Weebly site.

3) Why do you ignore my Mega Man stage request?
A: See update #Fimbulwinter. Requests accepted before then may take up to years.
Requests can be now submitted through the moderator panel at the top or the ask your audience module to the right.

A: Welcome to the world of expansion chips. FDS, MMC5, VRC6, VRC7, FME7/B5, N106, raw $4011 are all legitimate devices in genuine NES chiptune making.

5) Using more than one expansion chip!?? DEBATABLE
A: See above. However I haven't got myself doing MML for NES so chances are very rare.

6) You just converted the Touhou 6-8 MIDIs into 8-bit.
A: So by that logic you mean GXSCC is 8-bit? I am quite a purist and longs for authenticity. There is no point in arguing if I used GXSCC or some sort of VST or any other shit like that.
