I'm just a quiet guy with an appreciation for the art of singing. I also study history as a hobby, particularly Germany's military exploits in the two World Wars.
I'm American, not German. 'German' is in my username because I study German history. I would prefer messages sent to me to be in English, although I don't mind reading German.
About Me:

I will upload various recordings and performances of singers I like, and some of singers I dislike. Please message me with any requests of audio you need. I try not to upload recordings that are already on Youtube, to avoid accusations of 'stealing' other people's recordings.

Herbert von Karajan: To hate him because of his Nazi Party affiliation is irrational. His association with the Nazi Party was purely connected with his profession, music. He had absolutely nothing to do with the crimes committed by the Nazis during the Third Reich. Von Karajan was not a criminal, his association with the Nazis does not make him any less of a musician nor a human for that matter. Like most Germans, he was aware of the discrimination against Jewish people in his country...but not the extent, (the German people were not informed of the Holocaust). His wife was Jewish, and he actually tried to withdraw his party membership several times. Maestro von Karajan should be remembered as a musician, and his reputation should not be any worse simply because he lived in the wrong country at the wrong time.

hello everyone;
opera singer;s from the past and today singing german I found singing german art songs was fun being singing front was the only way to sing the german. now if we get into aria;s then a few adjustments must be made. not to get into vocal german helps the voice. the voice what is voice well I guess a piano singer;s have to look at this as a piano and tones so each step brings you near the very top of the voice. some greats would say cover at a certain point but that would not all ways work. thanks for reading my post. ralph david medici.

Hello Ted, thanks for accepting my friend invite. I understand that you're considerably busy but please do drop by my channel and have a look when you've the time. There isn't much opera there since I'm focusing on zarzuela and German operetta at the moment but I hope you'll be able to find something to your liking there.

Best Regards from Singapore
Darren
