"There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved."
—Charles Darwin, 'On the Origin of Species'.
About Me:

I'm a high school student interested in evolutionary biology and animal behavior. I'm also an avid amateur astronomer and passionate about the public understanding of science and skepticism. If you're interested in what I'm interested in, and want to read some of what I've written (I'm a great fan of complaining in written form as well) you can go to www.scienceofreason.org.

Many of you have wondered who has been my greatest intellectual influence. The answer to that isn't as simple as you might have liked. In terms of biology, I'm quite fond of Charles Darwin and George C. Williams. In the larger picture, I've always enjoyed the work of Mark Twain and T. S. Elliot. In addition, R. A. Fisher, Paul Dirac, Richard Feynman, Stephen Hawking, M. C. Escher, Michael Shermer, Richard Dawkins, Immanuel Kant, David Hume, Baruch Spinoza, Søren Kierkegaard, Jean-Paul Sartre, Jacques Monad, James Watson, Christopher Hitchens, Richard Dawkins, Edward O. Wilson, Sam Harris, Brian Cox, Carl Sagan, Thomas Paine, Émilie du Châtelet, Eugenie C. Scott, Marie Currie, J. B. S. Haldane, Robert Trivers, Lawrence Krauss, Ernst Mayr, and John Maynard Smith have shaped my worldview.

If you have any questions, please feel free to private message me or send me an email at alexanderndaly@scienceofreason.org. I've quite enjoyed the questions I've received from those of you studying biology.

As I hurtle through the void on this oblate spheroid of mud, magma and morons at 60,000 mph, the joy at finding intelligent life and lucid free-thinkers in a sea of Creationists and other deliberate idiots fills me with joy !
Thank you, and have a science-blessed day !!

I am profoundly happy to have found your channel; it is refreshing to see a high school student so interested in science, skepticism, and just being an articulate, educated member of society. For what it's worth, I've done what I could to bring attention to PZ Myers the existence of your channel and corresponding website.

Hey, I found a rather interesting article exploring the life of R.A Fisher. The article is not so much about science but beliefs, but instead it tries to explain how Fisher was able to reconcile his commitment to Christianity, Evolution & Eugenics.

I found an interesting script of an interview with W.D Hamilton which I thought I'd share with you

I wish all younger people shared your enthusiasm for evolution.

Wow, I'm glad I found your channel. It's so good to see a person that's just as fascinated about evolution as I am. The vast majority of people my age (well, people in general) have virtually no interest or knowledge of it, so it's really refreshing to see. Really pleased to see a person advocating rationality and spreading knowledge at such a young age. Can't wait to see more videos from you.

Thank you for your kind comment about my channel. I'm glad I've found someone else who appreciates the work of W.D Hamilton. I have a 3 part radio show on there where Dawkins and Hamilton's sister talk about his life. I'd also recomend the 4 part lecture Sir Julian Huxley gave in 1959 on the Darwin Centenial. Also the Dawkins lecture on Sex Ratio and Sexual Selection is worth watching. Finally I have a couple of David Attenborough shows, one about the paradise birds of New Guinea and the other about a tribe which was made in the 1970s.Enjoy
