From The Basement is a back to basics music TV show. It allows the artists to come into the studio and perform without the usual TV format getting in the way. That means no audience and no presenter. Just great music.
From The Basement is broadcast on Sky Arts in the UK and on Rave and IFC in America.
The show is shot in HD and all audio is recorded and mixed by Nigel Godrich.
The second series of From The Basement is currently in production and is due to be aired in December 2008.
Artists featured include; Radiohead, The Raconteurs, Iggy & The Stooges, Gnarls Barkley, My Morning Jacket, Band of Horses, Mercury Rev, The Kills, Andrew Bird, CSS and many more.
Series One is now available to buy on DVD.
