WASHINGTON STATE CONSTITUTION
SECTION 24 RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS. The right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of himself, or the state, shall not be impaired, but nothing in this section shall be construed as authorizing individuals or corporations to organize, maintain or employ an armed body of men.
JEFFERSON'S LETTER TO HIS NEPHEW:
"A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks."
--- Thomas Jefferson to Peter Carr, 1785. The Writings of Thomas Jefferson, (Memorial Edition) Lipscomb and Bergh, editors.

About Me:
OBAMA IS THE GREATEST ECONOMIC THREAT TO THIS COUNTRY SINCE GEORGE BUSH
I know that title will offend a lot of you Republicans out there, but it's the truth.
Bush has been a fiscal liberal. He's been borrowing and spending money like a drunken democrat. The spending has got to stop.
Obama will be at least three times as bad as Bush in this respect. He will spend like a drunken Democrat on cocaine, plus on top of that, he will raise the taxes on the rich and end up driving the last of the capital out of this country and the result of that will be a depression that will destroy the country for decades to come, therefore he must be stopped.
-Excellent American- October 2008
A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have. Gerald Ford
"The public cannot be too curious concerning the characters of public men."
—Samuel Adams
In Federalist No. 1, Hamilton warned, "Of those men who have overturned the liberties of republics, the greatest number have begun their career by paying an obsequious court to the people, commencing demagogues and ending tyrants."
There is a certain relief in change, even though it be from bad to worse; as I have found in traveling in a stage coach, that it is often a comfort to shift ones position and be bruised in a new place.
-Washington Irving [1824]
No people will tamely surrender their Liberties, nor can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffused and Virtue is preserved. On the Contrary, when People are universally ignorant, and debauched in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without the Aid of foreign Invaders.
-Samuel Adams
If a nation expects to be ignorant — and free — in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.
-Thomas Jefferson
Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, Religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism who should labor to subvert these great Pillars of human happiness — these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens."
- George Washington
Madison's Supreme Court nominee, Justice Joseph Story, wrote, "Republics are created by the virtue, public spirit, and intelligence of the citizens. They fall, when the wise are banished from the public councils, because they dare to be honest, and the profligate are rewarded, because they flatter the people, in order to betray them."
As Adams understood, "A Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever."
