This is EnigmaGamer from GameFAQs. I also recently registered on Neoseeker with the same username. I got started recording videos since I planned to record some speedruns for Speed Demos Archive, but I wanted to do other stuff also. I still haven't done a speedrun though.
I'm a college student. I like playing video games when I have the free time.
I started playing games on the NES. I don't remember the first game, but I think it was Super Mario Bros. It could have been something else though. My first RPGs were the StarTropics series on the NES and Illusion of Gaia on the SNES.

Not really into music. I do like some video game music though.

The final stage of my first Hard 1cc for this game.
SakuyaB was chosen due to how much of the screen can be covered, the 4 bombs per life, and longest lasting bombs, bombs that help you get borders quickly, and she does somewhat decent damage. The bombs are useless for anything but getting Cherry for borders and invincibility though. Still, this is the only shottype I even find playable in this game now. Reimu moves too slow, Marisa only gets 2 bombs per life, Reimu's and Marisa's ability to cover multiple spawning points on higher difficulties is very low.
This wasn't that great a run at first. I died twice to boss Alice, then failed Stage 4 like always. I didn't fail nearly as bad since I ended up going into stage 5 with 3 extra lives, but I still didn't think I would 1cc. I did my best performance ever though on Stage 5 and only died twice leaving me with 1 extra bomb at the end of the stage then I went in with and the same amount of lives. Failed at Yuyuko a bit less than I normally do, but my tendancy to move farther than I plan in this game caused a few deaths.
Youmu's nonspell is much easier here and should not be misdirected like the stage 5 one since doing so will likely wall you. I still have to bomb on the Stage 5 ones since I can never misdirect the second part of it. There should be a safespot for Youmu's spell, but I've only ever found it on Lunatic, plus I'd probably mess it up in an actual run.
Yuyuko is a pretty easy final boss, but like the rest of this game, I just fail at her for I don't know what reason. I really doubted my chances after the first death on her, but I managed to get to the survival card with a life to spare which guaranteed the clear.
The first nonspell causes me to bomb a lot more than I should. I fail the first spell despite it being easy. Second nonspell is easy for any forward shot except Reimu due to her being useless for damage. I always fail the second spell even on Normal. There's supposed to be some easy way for the third nonspell, but I don't think it works on Hard. The third spell is hard as well. The final nonspell is still easy, but I almost mess it up. How did I fail on Repository 3 times in this run when I pretty much knew how to capture it while practicing the stage with other shottypes? Sumizome is mostly easy, but I still mess it up.
I'm not practiced enough on Resurrection Butterfly yet, so I failed every single wave of it with a bomb, border break, or death. When I had no bomb or border, I tried using the strategy to go through the waves before they expand like when I captured it with Reimu, but I messed up and got hit.

The final stage of my Hard 1cc of the 6th Touhou game Embodiment of Scarlet Devil.
Some notes about the run:
ReimuA was chosen for 1 reason only, the Patchouli fight. I hate this shottype due to how weak it is. Just see the final spellcard.
I died for the first time during Meiling. I then died with bombs on stage 4. Patchouli went better than usual in that I actually captured a spellcard and didn't time out the nondirectional lasers like I did when trying this with MarisA.
Perfected the stage part of stage 5 but failed a lot more on boss Sakuya than I should have.
Stage 6 is just read and dodge followed by some streaming. Midboss Sakuya's nonspell can be memorized to some extent and Eternal Meek usually causes a bomb.
Remilia is one of the better final bosses in the series, but the messed up EoSD hitboxes reduce her ranking. As is, I like Yuka, Kaguya, and Kanako's fights more(not in that order obviously). Remilia does have the benefit that most of her spellcards ignore rank, which is an annoying system.
I die to her opener, which almost never happened with MarisA since 1 bomb is enough to clear it with her.
First spellcard is basically a hitbox knowledge test.
Second nonspell and third nonspell doesn't really change much with difficulty.
Second spellcard is harder on Hard than on Lunatic. I've never gotten close to capturing it, but I've captured the Lunatic version once.
I'm not really sure how different the final nonspell is based on difficulty since I've never paid much attention to it.
Scarlet Meister is hard regardless of whether its Hard or Lunatic. I quickly fail it here. I then end up finishing it with a bomb so I can't do free damage to Scarlet Gensokyo.
I did my first Normal 1cc of this game with MarisA, now Hard with ReimuA. Wonder which shot I'll choose for Lunatic once I'm skilled enough to try it.

* Bisqwit - For running the whole TAS Videos community. He is also one of them who tried to make a CT TAS. * Geiger - Using his Snes9x debugger, I could develop the item duplication glitch into the setup for a game-breaking glitch. Also his various texts on his CT hacking results were very informative and helpful. * Gocha(悟茶) - I learned how to make a TAS from his web site. He also has fixed various bugs and implemented some good features on Snes9x 1.51. * Hero of the Day - Watching his TAS, I decided to make a CT speedrun. He developed lots of good boss strategies, all of which are just plain awesome. I used most of them in my speedrun, some in my test TAS. * Mashmallow - I refereed his movie on SDA several times when I tried to break his record. * Molotov - He introduced my first CT speedrun to SDA and TAS videos, which broadened my perspective and has finally brought me here. * Nanashi(七誌) - He implied there were more tricks that I had not known then, which motivated me to discover new tricks more and more. * Okuto(オクト) - A Japanese CT speedrunner. It was his reports on his run that I first knew about CT speedrun. * Roydy(ロイディ) - A very skillful Japanese CT speedrunner. he made a 100% CT run on console and even found some useful tricks for TAS. * Ryuuou Leo(竜王レオ) - A website manager of Japanese CT site, providing a community to discuss CT speedrun. He is also a good CT player. * Saturn - I learned how to make an optimized CT TAS by analyzing his new game+ TAS. * Tilus - At the beginning of making a CT speedrun, I followed his posts one by one, which were really suggestive and helpful.
And finally, I would really thank to all the people on TASvideos. If you had not been, I would never be able to make this run. I'd really appreciate it.
I hope you will enjoy the run! "
This video is a TAS meaning it was played on an emulator using tools, such as savestates to undo mistakes and slowdown to allow precise input, to overcome human limitations. The objective of a TAS is to show the game pushed to it's limits, without the constraints of human skills and reflexes.

It's amazing as expected!!! 3 years of waiting was worth it :) Though i still can't say that it's as good as FFXII but that might change since i'm not so far in the game yet
Er, oops, got a "malformed video ID" error on that one. Just check my "Presented by Cave!" playlist and it's at the end. Last two, though again, he has more videos up than that.
Managed to reach Byakuren in UFO. Stage 5 went really bad though (and stage 4 wasn't much better), so by the time I got to Byaku I'd already used two continues. Anyway, I couldn't beat her with 2 lives, the furthest I got was her survival thing (the one that's absent in the Easy mode). Reached stage 4 with 6 lives though, so at least I can do the first three stages decently.
makes it HD and encodes much faster than avisynth imo.
Re-record and try again, or try converting it to 30 fps unless you have done so already.
Or just encode it in virtualdub instead of avisynth
