I don't know if you guys do fan mail or any of that so I'm hoping that a crew member checks this page and not a manager.
As a writer and as a young woman the art that dessa has created and shared has been profoundly impactive to me. Not only have those words been a perfect stand in when I needed a friend and found only more isolation, but they've made me feel happy and mine shaft almost makes me cry every time so much that I have to skip the track if I'm driving even though it must be my favourite.
Seeing a female in the music industry who is an actual person somehow vicariously raises my own esteem and knowing she got picked out doing spoken word, real words, real art, gives me hope, period.
and now I understand why hope floats.
