A Short History: Custer was an Oklahoma based band whose members had performed in various rock bands previously. Custer was formed in the fall of 1975 with Mark Selby on lead vocals & guitar, Max Ridgway on lead guitar, Bob Wallace on vocals & bass, & Mike Drechsler on drums. In mid-1976, Mark left the band and Mike Minton joined the group to provide lead vocals, guitar, & flute. This lineup remained for the rest of the performing years of Custer as they rocked various venues throughout Oklahoma, Kansas, & Colorado. The group disbanded in December of 1978, but through the years the foursome have remained good friends and have performed together a few times and had several "Reunion Jams".
