These are HD gameplay videos from various Classic Doom and Doom II based games. Most of these videos show puzzle solutions or walkthroughs, but some show examples of combat, or game-engine quirks.

The majority of these were originally only available at ClassicDOOM.com as downloadable lmp-format demo files, which can be played back using your own copy of the respective PC game. The demos have been converted to videos and migrated here in order to make them more widely accessible.

Note: Many videos, especially those showing the location of score-affecting secret areas, incorporate pop-up Annotations. For best results, be sure your current YouTube video settings allow Annotations to be displayed.

Most of the PC-game demos were recorded years ago, and were created using vanilla off-the-shelf Doom games, running under DOS at original 320x200 resolution, and played keyboard-only on a PC with no audio output. For YouTube, all of these demos are played back on another PC using GlBoomPlus/PrBoomPlus, running at 960x720 and captured with Fraps.

I've been a Doom fan since 1993, and a fan of video games in general as far back as I can remember. My first Doom FAQs went online in November 1996, and first Doom website shortly thereafter. Everything got moved to ClassicDOOM.com in 2003, and I've been tinkering with the site off-and-on ever since... When I'm not busy wasting my life on other games, that is. ;)
