I haven't had the opportunity to play with all 5 but the Mirror Mastery has my three favorite colors. I am most looking forward to building a deck around one of those generals.

Powerful generals are hated on pretty quickly in games, so if you are just starting out you may want to try something less known and then as you get a feel for the format and your local groups power level then change up your general. I still recommend the Commander sets coming out next week, the deck lists have been spoiled and there are some very nice cards in there that will certainly jumpstart a commander collection!

Yes, CMDR Decks is based in Colorado, I will be out at the StarCityGames Open in Denver this Sunday playing Commander all day and even filming people's decks if they want to be on.

$300-$400 is a pretty decent chunk of change to make a deck with, coolnoobb. If you've never played Commander before or made a deck before what I'd recommend is to buy one each of the new Commander product that comes out on the 17th. For about $150-ish you could have 5 decks to play and then once you find the one or two you like the most you can upgrade those decks with the remaining money and add in stuff like Maze of Ith, or better lands like Ravinca duals. If you want to build a deck from the ground up then we can go over what kinds of cards you like and then brainstorm from there.
