Hi there,

Why exactly are we arguing against this Nazi moron DollaBilz???

I'm so fed up with this bullshit :(

I tried to counter her (?) crap for other forum participants to see the truth. Is it worth it?

Lawyerly mentioned Ireland being flat broke. Ireland is one of the PIIGS countries where massive spending via the social welfare state combined with government controling a large portion of the economy prevents productivity of wealth and incurs overwhelming spending. Too much spending and too little wealth produced inevitably lead to financial collapse as the funds will be depleted from an economy that is already too strained.

cont... 2) The Lost Decade of the 1990's in Japan was a prolongued slump as Keynesian policies were employed. 110 trillion Yen were spent in 11 spending packages and the slump in Japan was prolonged instead of resolved. The Great Depression occurred in America with massive spending and taxes by Hoover, then FDR. 3)The contrast was in the 1920's where taxes and spending were lowered and that brought a great boom.

Just to make a point on Lawerly: 1)I posted my responses on his Blog and then he deleted them. Perhaps I should have reposted them here. 2)Points: 1)The Depression of 1921 was relevant, b/c the ultimate cause of all downturns are the same: bad investments cause a bubble that bursts as banks compete w/low interest rates set or manipulated by the central government, notably by the Fed.

Hello Lawyerly,

I see that you deleted my comments. Well, we now know who the real coward is then.

Lawyerly, I have been looking for other surveys regarding what most economists think regarding FDR's economic policies. I only found that the Dept of Economics at UCLA conducted a nearly 4 year study on the Great Depression and also concluded that the FDR's policies caused the Depression to last for more than 7 years.

Here is an article on it:

UCLA is not known for being Libertarian or conservative in its politics.

lawyerly, Just to tell you. I used to be a huge fan of FDR and believed that he got us out of the Great Depression or prevented it from getting worse. Then I read books such as "New Deal, Raw Deal", by Burton Folsom, Jr. I recommended it to Kevin Jackson and he probably based his video largely on it.

A powerful question was asked: Why was there no Great Depression of the 1920's as there was of the 1930's? In 1921 unemployment and inflation were WORSE than 1929, 1980, 2000 and 2008 & throughout Obama's term.

Lawyerly, I removed your other comment, b/c it was insulting. I will not allow for insults.
