So I started this channel about a year ago as primarily a vlog about my hair. However, in the words of India Arie: "I am not my hair, but the soul that lives within." Although I'm still going to be active in the natural hair community, I want to branch out and explore new territory, and discuss universal topics that many could relate to.
My daily mantra for 2011 is inspired by my initials: "To get more ... B MO." I'm a sistah girl with BIG dreams, but to make those dreams a reality I have to improve my mind, body, and spirit. That's where the POWER OF B MO comes in. This is a lifestyle channel for people of all races and ethnicities that want more out of life. More importantly, this is for people who are done with dreaming, and want the real deal by attracting what they want by becoming what they want.
To Get More, These are My Five B MOs:
B MO Positive
B MO Driven
B MO Healthy
B MO Confident
B MO Grateful
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN NATURAL?
May 2011 will make four years.
WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?
I try new products from time time; however, for SHAMPOO I use African Black Soap, CONDITIONER I use my Hair Lotion as a Leave-In, and MOISTURIZER I use my scented water/aloe vera spritz and my hair lotion.
OTHER Questions
WHAT DOES B MO mean?
B MO are my initials, and it is my own personal motivation mantra. To get more (mo) I first need to become more (mo), hence the term B MO.
WHAT IS THE NAME OF YOUR BUSINESS?
Currently my business is going through MAJOR changes. I want to improve my personal branding, services, and future products, so a huge facelift in name and vision is underway.
WHAT IS YOUR ETHNIC BACKGROUND?
I talk about my distant ancestry in my vid "Who is Afrostory?" However, for my immediate background, my father is Jamaican and mother is African American. I am a Florida born girl :)
WHAT ARE YOU STUDYING?
I have a fine arts background, but I'm currently earning my PhD in anthropology.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WRITING?
Since I was around nine years old. A lot of people inspired me, but it was my 4th grade teacher that noticed my talent and told me, "To never stop writing." I listened.

Thanks for the invaluable advice on black natural hair. And I love your integrity, high and searing intelligence and ability to state the obvious ( loved the video on No such thing as African American hair)- people reach a comfort zone and need to be challenged and woken up. Keep going and have a fab weekend! xx
