I'm a professional dancer/teacher/choreographer in the New York/New Jersey area. I've been dancing for 21 years and teaching for about 15.

I've mae these videos to show that there is more to this dance than most people believe and that it is an art that is rooted in the living culture of the ordinary everyday people. The clips in Egypt were all taken by me on location to show that what we call "belly dance", is actually something done mostly by the ordinary people for fun. This is the real culture that most of you never get to see.
