Martin Leung as the Video Game Pianist is pioneering a new source of music for the 21st century. His landmark internet tribute to Koji Kondo's Super Mario Brothers theme instantly turned vast attention to video game music performed on the solo piano. He played on the first Video Games Live at the Hollywood Bowl and subsequent world tour, with other appearances at the Penny Arcade, Game Developers Conference, and Games Convention in Germany. An Oberlin International Piano Competition prizewinner, Martin studied with Paul Schenly and Daniel Shapiro at the Cleveland Institute of Music and is a Master of Music candidate of Claude Frank at Yale University.
