Dear All,
Hi! I'm a fourth-year medical student and every week, I'm learning exciting and critical topics on medicine. But too often, the things I'm learning about never reach the public.

I wanted to try an experiment -- sharing health information on Youtube. My goal's to start conversations about issues that newspapers don't cover often but that may be relevant to your health and my health.

I hope this experiment works -- and if it fails, I hope someone sees these videos, says, "hmmm, these are bad videos, but I love the idea," and decides to go for it.

UPDATES: I'm very sorry about being late with e-mail responses and late with all updates about things. i haven't had time to check comments on my wall or for the videos.

Please send messages to my gmail account below, (I don't check my Youtube Inbox that regularly) thanks!

A Case of Mistaken Identity:
On a random note, I noticed that there are a few people with the screen name "USMedstudent" out there. I only use "usmedstudent" for Youtube, not for anything else. Also, my posts are not related to politics or the Arab-Israeli conflict, so please don't get me confused with someone else. Thank you!

Lastly, I wanted to point out something important: that the opinions expressed in this channel are not necessarily those of Harvard Medical School, its affiliated institutions, or Harvard University. Also, I'm just a medical student, so my posts are hopefully conversation starters, but only conversation starters -- not medical advice. If my posts intrigue you, please read more about the topic and discuss about it with your doctor. I'd be happy to send you the information in the journal articles I talk about. Best wishes!

HI JEFF, I REALLY ENJOY WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS. YOU SHOW YOURSELF TO BE A DOCTOR WHO CARES ABOUT THE WHOLE PERSON; BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT. THAT IS RARE THESE DAYS. I WONDER IF YOU COULD SHARE, ON A VIDEO, YOUR IDEAS ON THE RECENT RESEARCH ON VITAMIN K2. GOOD LUCK AS YOU BEGIN YOUR PRACTICE AND I HOPE YOU WILL HAVE TIME TO CONTINUE MAKING VIDEOS.

This is an awesome channel. I was wondering if you could cover a couple of topics...Hydrocephalus, epilepsy (and how the two are related), and a-fib (atrial fibrillation). I have exhausted my searches on these; while I understand them a lot more, I like your explanatory skills.
Also, for argument's sake: I would like to know your stance on medical intervention. Just because we can, does it really mean we SHOULD intervene? What are the implications and repercussions to this, if any? Is it a responsible action to "breed in weaknesses"?
Thank you.

Jeff, I really hope you update some more on your journey of Residency etc :) I am going to be an MS1 and I am really interested in General Surgery. But being a female and family oriented I'm a little afraid of the residency lifestyle because of how brutal it is. I love your videos and your insight.

Hope to see more! :)
