Hi, I have this quick question. Is Videostudio X6 able to create an audio spectrum to lay over a (still) background? It's only that what I'm looking for. Thanks very much.
Hey there I was hoping to raise a question with the techs at Corel, Now I have been using Corel Video Studio for many years now and usually if it suits me I will upgrade, however at the moment with 10, I'm sticking with 9 for the time being. But, I do have a question to put your way. Adobe After Effects allows you to time stretch a video giving it an awesome fluid slow motion. Much of which i shoot anything between 50 and 60 fps. The trouble is with other software that swear they can do the same thing they really can't. I have found with most software including Corel Video Studio that the movement is never fluid, Its more slightly jerky. Is there or will there be any coming upgrades of Corel Video studio that will give the same perfect effect of fluid slow motion. Or am I over looking something?. I do like Corel Video Studio and have been with these upgrades now for many years. Thanks guys and do not think I am knocking this software how in the name could I do that. Best Wishes all....SugarYawroc
Hi there,
I recently purchased Corel VideoStudio Pro X9 and have just begun learning how to utilize all of its features. I finished watching a video by Gripps2211 in which he taught how to use the cloning effect in VideoStudio X8. The FX effect he used was called Boris Graffiti, and when I tried to emulate him, I realized that my version of VS does not have that effect installed by default. As I am a beginner, I am not aware of any other methods to use a cloning effect in a video. I am also wondering where to find a "chroma key" much like the one Gripps used in the Boris FX effect.
Much Appreciated
As I was learning the program some more, I discovered that there is an installed FX effect specifically designed for green screen and etc. called Chroma Key; that solves and answers my second question! ^_^
I am sure this has probably been asked and answered, but why, for God's sake, does the "Graphic" button default to 'color pattern'? I have been using and upgrading from Version 4 to 9 and this has always bothered me. Why doesn't it default to COLOR which is what's most often used. I know it's a small step, but why go out of your way to annoy a user? Or maybe I'm just cranky and there's a perfectly good reason, like no one has ever mentioned how incredibly stupid it is before me.
Hi Denny, to convert VHS to DVD you require some hardware to make the connection. I would recommend "Roxio VHS to DVD" which provides the hardware you need to connect the VHS to your PC, and then the applications to capture the video and convert your video to digital.

You can then use VideoStudio to further edit the footage, add titles, create DVD menus and more.
Thanks. i have done that before. I should have been more specific. I want to export a video file from Corel VX7 with a transparent background to use the clip in Flash. Can this be done with Corel Video Studio X7? I like to make animation scenes with Flash.
Is there a way to group or anchor text to a video or picture so that when you change your timeline, you don't need to go back and adjust placement of each piece of text?
Hi Cynde,
Yes - to the Left of the timeline you will see a lock. By default it is unlocked, but if you select lock - you can then select with tracks you want to lock together - such that when you add a clip to the very beginning or in the middle of your timeline, the tracks that are locked will remain together.

+Rich Sullo Hi Rich - sorry for the delayed response - you can use the LIGHTING effect and key frames to do a light saber effect. There are a few YouTube Videos on this from our fans for VideoStudio you can search for to do this.
I am making a sports highlight video in Video Studio Pro X8 and so far, so good. The last piece I want to include is a highlight of the specific player in each video. I found the magnifying glass and the vignette feature in FX but the problem I have is that both focus on the center of the screen, and in most cases, the player I'm highlighting is located in another section of the screen. Is there a way to move the focal point of the magnifying glass or vignette? Or, is there another way to accomplish this without using one of those features?
I downloaded the trail version of VideoStudio Pro x7 and created a HTML5 project and I added a text web link on my video and exported it. It created a folder with a Contents and static folder, iframe-use, index, and JS project file inside that folder. I understand that the index file is my html5 code to post on a website, however the webm video file inside of the Contents folder does not show my web link in the video. How can I create a video with a web link in the video to upload to Youtube or Vimeo using Pro x7? All the other features look great and I plan on purchasing if I can figure this out. Thanks for any help you can provide.
