i just saw a youtube video done on "La Paloma" by some body called PIANO WOMEN (Anat Navarro). she has done a very impressive introduction at the start of this piece. as your piano tutorials are great, can you please do a tutorial on this and some other attractive introductions? DST.

What a fantastic channel. The way you combine the theory with the practice is just perfect. I've always struggled with ways of turning basic chords into something more and this is great for inspiration on that front. Brilliant stuff, thank you so much for taking the time to share all of this with us.

HI,Having just seen your u-tube channel, and being new to the computer, I am a little confused because on the first video, you introduce yourself as Mangold Project, but there are also videos on your site using the name Assaf, and also I have seen the name Ryiad. Also, your cat has two names as well. Could you please explain? Your site looks very interesting and informative. I would just like to know who is teaching me. Regards Paul.
    MangoldProject
My name is Assaf, my channel's name is MangoldProject, and I have two cats hence two names. I have no idea who Ryiad is.

Hi Assaf, thanks for all the awesome videos, I learned a lot. Any chance you could do in-depth tutorials on chord substitution? Like every possible substitution of V, then every possible substitution of IV,...and so forth?

Hi, I always look forward to your new videos because thanks to you, my approach to the piano has completely changed and your tutorials  have  blown  my mind !!! I mainly practice piano ballads and i' m very impressed by the way you play left hand syncopations  for that style , I admit that i'd like to play it like you, and i'd be glad to get some tips from you !!! May be through a special video dedicated to that technique ? I sincerely hope that one day , you'll make it. Anyway, i thank you very much for the great  good job you make,  and to me, you're probably the best  real piano pedagogue teacher that exists  on the web !!! Go on like that ! Best regards, Christian from France.

Hi AasefI was watching your video about changing from Amin to F# min for chord progressions. What I don't get is how you can go from Amin which is relative to Cmaj and F#min/ Amaj. Both minor scales you show are natural. Why not have started with an A Maj scale then drop to F# min so you know they are related. You are modulating in the technical sense but it's confusing why you chose that way . Do you think you could explain that in simple non crazy harmony talk/lol!! Remember there are a lot of laymens out here that like good old fashion English🎹. Besides this one issue your videos are very helpful even though I'm a bass player. Thanks- BcRichbass

This is the beauty of it. They're "close enough" to sound pleasing but "far enough" to introduce just enough dissonance to make it sound fresh.

Great practice lessons because each one is concise and covers only one digestible topic with its own set of exercises. I am accumulating one new lesson every few days and then repeat that one next day as well as any previous ones not mastered until I am fluent. Then I archive the mastered lesson and thus keep several going at once. Thanks for making these so easy to follow. The pace is just right.

Hi Assaf - I stumbled upon your lessons a few weeks ago and they feel as though they're tailor-made for me. I'm a singer/songwriter who's been performing on guitar and piano for many years. Mostly self-taught, though I've had a few lessons and I love music theory. I'm very chord-oriented and most comfortable reading lead sheets. Your lessons are just right for me – not too easy, not too difficult – and even the stuff I already know is a good review. I've viewed a number of online tutorials, but yours are head and shoulders above the rest. You provide clear instruction on very useful techniques to take my playing to a new level. Thank you so much!

I just want to say a quick thank you. You're videos about sampling rate, bit depth & quantization helped me to pass an exam in music technology recently. So...thanks :)

Excuse me sir. I really want to learn jazz piano but i don't know where to start. Maybe i understand about the theory but when i'm bad at playing. Should i start learning song first ? Or i just exercised the progression ? or something else ? Thank you. I'm a fan of your channel :)

Most important thing is to listen to famous pianists and imitate them, and also try to find jazz musicians to play with.

Hey MangoldProject, can you do Bach's little prelude in C minor BWV 934? I would be so grateful, or on how to trill? Thanks.

Hey man. Thanks for your vids! I've been learning by myself most of life (only a couple of years of teaching) so your theoretical approach is just what I need to improve. THANKS! :D

Hi ! Your lessons are very awsome and very well explained ! By the way, could you tell how to use the sustain pedal in pop piano style. Thanks a lot. Kriss.

Hi Assaf, once again thank you very much for your very useful lessons ! I have a suggestion for a new topic :-) I am a newbie by piano (2 years) but an oldie on guitar (40 years). And I'm facing a problem with my piano - How can i play rhythms ?? It seems very basic but it's a real challenge for me. Ballads, Boogie-woogie, R'N'Roll are ok so far, but how can I produce a good "jumpy country rhythm" as in "Oh lonesome me" for example ? Or a Twist, or Rocky rhythms like "Proud Mary" from CCR... etc.... I would love to hear your approach on this topic. Thank you
