May I please ask you Linn: the files for your plain no-video podcasts are relatively huge, especially for those of us with limited bandwidth. For example, your podcast 'Women in Woodworking - Podcast 03' would comfortably fit into a 30Mb to 40Mb file size in a good quality audio MP3 format instead of 180Mb. Thanks!

I just watched your " how to begin woodworking" video.  It's interesting that you mentioned those three categories of woodworker.  My mother brought me and my siblings to visit her friend who had three boys.  I saw a swing set, made with little cotton string and popsicle sticks, on their bedroom window sill and I've been fascinated by wood ever since.  I was about 5 or 6 years old then.  My mother thought such hobby was a waste of everything, and being a girl, doing anything with wood was out of the question.  I finally saw the use of a corded drill and jigsaw from two different people that I know in my 20s almost a decade later when I was finally on my own, I bought my own drill and jigsaw, plus some screw driver and pliers.  It was then I started to make some stuff with wood.  Then I bought some more powered tools in the mid-2000's and it wasn't until three years ago before I learned the existence of table saw and router; this was when I discovered some woodworking channels from the Youtube.  I am so grateful to all of you who devote your time to share your passion and I learn a lot from you.  Please keep up with this great work, thanks : )

+Green Kitty Thanks for the comment, that's interesting to hear. I feel that us girls are often at a disadvantage because of the culture many of us grow up in. Do you document any of your building online - Facebook, Instagram or a blog? I'd like to take a look if so. Thanks for the nice words.

Hi, I am building this winter a work table. This will stay on the outside (no space), I would very much like to keep it in its natural colors. What would you recommend use to protect it? Thanks.
