I have a question with some context. My father was in World War II, in the NAVY. I'm almost 29 years old and have had a felony since I was 18. I've managed to stay away from jail, since then, but I'm still limited to the type of life that criminals are forced to live, after supposedly paying their debt to society. I never felt like I was given a chance to repay my debt, properly. With the onset of an escalated threat from North Korea, coupled with US military interest in solving the problem, alone if we have to.. my question is, if we go into war with them, do you think it is likely for a convicted criminal, like myself, to use some of that ingenuity mixed with aggression as a positive contribution to the US Military, by being granted a pathway for military service? Whenever I put myself in the way of danger, I usually come out on top, except for that one time when I was 18. I'm actually pretty badass and I think I would thrive in your type of environment, with others in the same pursuit of overall prosperity. I have no family or money and no path to success that I can see in the near future. I'm not a paper or plastic fries with that burger type of person, not knocking those who do it, but it's just not me.
