    Any basic computer class lasting one semester should include (1) a brief history of computing: IBM, HP, UNIVAC, mainframe, etc., (2) introduction to the basic components of a computer: CPU, RAM, HDD, etc., (3) basic coding techniques, such as the BASIC language.

    Hi. I have done bachelors in Software Engineering. I confess that during my graduation I did not concentrate on coding much but I do now. The biggest problem I face is that I cannot understand the code so good, any suggestions +Code.org

    The idea being advanced here is OK, but the method used to advance that idea is faulty. This has all been done before with the language Logo and it's turtle graphics. This is little more than "playing around". Computer Science is NOT about programming as the celebrities in these videos are suggesting -- it's about Mathematics; i.e. algorithm analysis and design! This kind of advancement of a concept is appealing most of all to those who play with their cell phones all day! This approach IS a GOOD idea if the goal is to produce shallow thinkers.

    +KerythDraws it isn't designed for people who know what they're doing, it's designed for kids and adults who would never have thought to do anything like this in a million years. Like a lot of educational programs, this one is just about generating excitement so people can pursue it in their own lives. I for one think that what they are doing is pretty awesome...

    Fianly I can code at 12 years old I will make a game soon I've only used there block coding I havnt looked at any other of there coding stuff but Ive been trying to do coding for 4 months and every thing reguried advanced knowladge in programing when the vid was to tech u how to programe and after doinh this ill soon be atempting java learning

    Hey anyone have advice? I live in Ireland and at the moment computer programming in first and second lvl education dosent even exist u cn only code in college. Im in second lvl and have recently got in to coding is there any way I can still do it? I know I cn learn online but Id like to do it as a subject aswell, is it even possible?
