I can understand why channels disable likes and dislikes, its a lazy half assed version of feedback, but why disable comments? I would love to ask others who have read paul steinhardts book endless universe about a mechanism for the "dark energy dominated epoch" or voice my thoughts on other books but no, you're reducing a whole spectrum of human thought to like or dislike.
WTF! Why The FUCK do you have comments disabled your vids. Then you have vids that are debates and have open challenges and questions but closed comments?!?!
Fuck you you fucking fuck! Make that very clear. It is hypocrisy. Therefore, I shall say it again, fucking hypocrisy.
I'm glad you have the quacks like Wu and Chopra on to speak about their tripe. They are both coddled, intellectual toddlers, and deserve to be seen, as a warning.
I wish the channel would be better curated. The talks are too random and would be much more interesting to have playlists like weekly or monthly highlights or theme based (nutrition, technology, politics) playlists
you own youtube right? why arnt these on the front page instead of the degenerate drivel? i honestly belive these intelligent talks would be trending if you simply presented them to the public...or is it just about the money
The comment section on Lori Kenschaft's video is closed. Doesn't providing information and taking away our right to discussion on subjects you promote undermine the idea of the Internet being a free (libre) information exchange medium? Is on-line harrassment and abuse the reason you block voting and comment sections on your videos? How about proactively providing solutions instead of giving your services' users means of selective censorship which then your department happily utilises?
I am aware that the site "Talks at Google" can't be blamed for the whole company's policies, however, by disabling comment sections on some of your videos you contribute to censorship on behalf of Google, and I find it really shameful.
I came looking for comment section on Lori Kenschaft's video with sincerely good intention of simply asking why it is that birth rate in favour of male births is supposedly caused by sex-selective abortions, while the opposite case is caused by women being opressed and overwhelmed by nerves during pregnancy.
Instead I am outraged at this channel's on-line social policy. Well done, Google.
I like that you elected to host a speech by Brianna Wu when it seems you don't understand her stance on censorship and when you don't understand the sheer level of bullshit that is behind every single word in that speech.
Don't be evil.
Any group that aims to further people by automatically judging them based on their wealth and then doesn't allow discussion should not be trusted, especially when their name/label is Talk at Google!
Its not hard to get you video liked by appealing to the lowest common denominator, and stealing from the rich to make the commoners dependent on government spending is wrong, especially when the government in question is full of debt and can barely function as it is.
History shows that is not only a bad idea, but for many, a lethal one.
Its strange how the critics will say its bad policy, well no shit, like government there is no good policy, but at least I have never heard of a society where people looked after themselves going from prosperous to large portions dead and dying because of a few mistakes by bureaucrats like what happened to the Soviets and other Communists
In fact its always the opposite, there is always much more to spare.
Hehe.. "Great" Talks at Google. Yet nobody cares.. hehe
500,000 subscribers !! Yet the average view count per video is less than 1K. Guess they are all "fake" subscribers ??
Or is it just that the video editor, the presenter and his/her families and friends want to watch these "great" talks?
It seems nobody "aint" trust the "voice of Google" no more.. Misinformation technology ??
