When the Communist regime in China the PRC or People's Republic of China. Came to power it influenced most of Asia Indochina Korea and Vietnam if they never came to power It would stop most of these conflicts. and save a lot of lives in the 2 wars that it brought on. Just food for thought.

Hey what if during World War 1 a Christmas truce (or multiple) ended the war, because the troops refused to fight on behalf of generals and politicians far from the horrors of war? What if they laid down their arms in peace realizing their enemies were just soldiers given orders to fight on like them?

I was commenting about the notable difference in Christian thought then vs. now.
    John Price
+Seth Campbell I mean no offense, and I am Christian myself, but why only the Christians? I mean I know Christmas is celebrating the birth of Christ but I'm certain every country involved in the war for the most part their citizens would celebrate as well.

+Gabriel Gzz That's US Foreign Policy for you pal. The US Government framed September 11th as an exscuse to invade Afghanistan. The US's only true purpose of invading Afghanistan was for oil, money, and potentially drugs. The US has framed incidents like this for a very long time. Don't believe me? Look up Operation Northwoods. It was exposed by President Kennedy in 1962 he was killed the next year. The plan was to frame terror attacks by US Intelligence on Communist Cuba. September 11th was another framed terror attack framed by the United States to justify a War with Afghanistan. This war has been going on for over 17 Years and continued even after we killed Osama Bin Laden. The only reason we invaded Afghanistan was for oil and money. In order to invade Iraq, George W. Bush falsely claimed that Saddam Hussein contained Weapons of Mass Destruction (which they didn't). When Bush announced there were no weapons of mass destruction he still continued the War in Iraq. This means that he knew that there were no WMDs in Iraq as his only reason for invading them was again oil and money. This has happened several times and will continue to happen if the we don't do something about it. And that my friends is American Foerign Policy.

Economic factors would correct it. Kristen Bell accidentally revealed that, in her "Pinksourcing" satire video.

What if after the Death of Marcus Aurelius, instead of Commodus coming to power his older sister Lucilla came to power as the first Roman Empress? Would that have propped the empire up for a bit longer?

What if Great Britain helped The confederate states of America win the Civil war
    Brendan Philbrick
Well then, realistically speaking, what is the United States OT would simply be divided between two nations, The U.S.A. and C.S.A., and realistically The C.S.A. would've amended Slavery out of its constitution sooner or later to engage in the International Arena. However if we want to throw realism out the window (Which is always more fun), The mockumentary C.S.A: "Confederate States of America" pretty much explains it.

I have two suggestions. 1. What if Columbus never returned? It is impossible for the new world to go undiscovered indefinitely but about if it's discovery were delayed? What would Europe and North America be like today? 2. Atlas Shrugged; what if the government actually tried to pass legislation like 'the fair share law' and how would the country react to that?
    RonJohn63
Excellent question. What if Columbus never returned? Someone else eventually would have tried again. What would Europe and North America be like today? Less Spanish, Roman Catholicism and corruption; more of some other language and religion.

Recent History (in light of current events) What if shortly after President George W. Bush called Iraq, Iran, and North Korea an "Axis of Evil," the U.S. had actually engaged North Korea in a preemptive war to prevent it from developing an atom bomb as it successfully tested one in 2006 and also to remove then-dictator Kim Jong Il? What would have a U.S.-led preemptive war against North Korea in 2003 or 2004 looked like? Would Tony Blair's UK join the war? What about Australia and Japan? How would such a 2003-2004 war have affected/changed both U.S. history and world history since then? Would such a war better help or hinder George W. Bush's reelection efforts in 2004? What affects would such a war have on the 2008 presidential election? What would become of North Korea, a potential occupation of the North, U.S. and South Korean efforts to reunify? How would the Communist Party government of China under both Presidents Hu Jintao and Xi Jinping respond toward the formation of a democratic U.S.-aligned reunified Korea on its border?
