I use a scanner at work. I scan a part and it tells me to select a second part to go with it.
How ever some times I scan the firdt part and responds like I have completed the process when I have not. Do you have any suggestions how this could happen?
hi Eli, I have bought an Eizo screen model CS240, and my iMac27 is dead, and I use Photoshop cc 2015 and lightroom cc, but it is just an hobby. Now my question is what should I buy to stay in Mac. Mac mini 2014 doesn't look with enough power, and Mac pro is too much expensive..Thanks!
Mac mini with a Fusion drive should be ok... I'd really argue at least for the $1300 MacBook pro, but... just for the love of the monster don't get anything with a 5400rpm drive!!!
Oh... you might think about buying used from a reputable place. My 2 year old MacBook pro is still good enough I have zero interest in upgrading...
I just got hired by a great IT company, no doubt because of you. Eli, thank you for spreading knowledge all across the world for free. You are doing the world a great service.
Hi Eli,
I have been very unproductive regarding the grounds of computer science. Can you please guide me with a list of subject in a sequential way to succeed as a computer engineer.
Many things confuse me. Looking forward for help Thanks
Eli...what are your thoughts on ITIL? As I go through the training, it seems like common management sense. However, I find it very distracting the way it seems to be over-inflated with confusing terminology and buzz words. My employer is pushing everyone in the organization, from Service Desk Tier 1 on up, to become trained to at least the basic knowledge level.
Wow! I just stumbled across EtCG's Youtube channel and I am thoroughly impressed. These videos are well articulated, concise and easy to understand. Thank you for making great content accessible to all.

Hello Eli, I haven't really been working tech industry as much as most of my co-workers, but I have been around tech(programming specifically) since I can remember. One trait I notice with a lot of Sr. Engineers (Not everyone one of them though, usually with new hires with 10+ years of experience) is the the idea of implementing something cause its new and novel, not really justifying if its better for a project or proving it. I have seen this delay projects to the point it can be canceled or funding runs out, or break things to the point its not worth continuing the "upgrade". Usually end user for this project doesn't care about the tech, they only want the product to work how they envision it. When is it a good idea to stay in an older technology (Framework, Coding Practice, Release Process, etc) then implementing near technology?
