About Me:
I've learned to never think too much and limit my dreams.
I was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas. I was about three years old when I got my first (plastic guitar). I took it to the cotton field each day, played and rode on the back of my grandfathers Cotton sack down around Reyno, Arkansas.
My family's from Alabama and Arkansas. Many in my older family were musicians and could pick/sing/play anything from bluegrass to gospel. Everyone was better than me so I developed a slower style of playing. I love to play, write, sing gospel, country, children and blues. My favorite are the gospel and slower love songs. I hope to put many song on here from the past and present.
A couple of my biggest thrills in music came around 1990 to 94 . I was ask to write, sing and record the singing voice for Charlie the Chipmunk. Charlie is the mascot for the (EPA)( Region 7 ) Environmental Protection agency. Another honor was writing, singing and being on the video for the United Way, in the ( Kansas, Iowa, Missouri and Nebraska ) area.
With the mascot "" Charlie Chipmunk "" I had the pleasure of singing his song with eighteen third graders and with the United Way there were ten.
A couple of my favorites are Youtube star Brad Campbell and the Ole Crow Medician Show.

If I see any women around there I'll ask 'are you Rod's sister' ? hehehe.... She is SO lucky to live by there... I'd be going to just sit out there and think...if I lived there.. it's so beautiful and peaceful and it does have this 'magic aura ' about it... just like you said.... Well Shirley and I head out at 8 a.m. tomorrow which is like DAWN for me LOL I'm going to watch the movie as I'm falling asleep.. to prepare !! Shirley watched it last night LOL we are silly like that--we make it a ritual.. we have a few other girlfriends coming with us too.. so it should be a blast.. Have a great day Rod !
