The Avengers Age of Ultron trailer gets remade in LEGO. Completed in 16 hours (2 hours of building, 6 in Animation, and 8 in post production) not including rendering hours. I wanted to do some advanced spot removal and thought this would be a great chance for some more practice. It was a learning experience. I enjoyed having the practice of recreating over 70 shots in such a sort time. Also that Hulkbuster suit is huge, barely made it be able to fit in the frame. I've been working on it since April. It required every skill I've learned from the films I've made this year. My favorite thing about this was creating the look of the environment for the city. I spent several weeks researching different art styles, drawing inspiration from such films as Blade Runner and Tron. My least favorite thing was the weeks spent rotoscoping, especially for the Helicopter. I had to keep the film under five minutes, which meant trimming the Helicopter and fight sequences. My goal with this film was to take on Minecraft with a medieval theme. For the medieval aspect I was inspired by Skyrim and Lord of the Rings. I'm not the best expert there is on Minecraft but I tried to incorporate as many main elements there are from the game that makes it so unique into the story. I completed the film in 10 days. I had to cut out some scenes from the original story due to animation scheduling conflicts. Also if your following the DC/Marvel crossover series be sure to stay for the post credit scene. Things are going to get heated up starting in the next chapter.
