At the end of August, students and their families traveled from their homes in Virginia and 40 other states around the nation, and from 65 countries all over the world, converging on Charlottesville for opening weekend of the fall semester. This is always an occasion of great joy and optimism for the coming year, as we welcome a new first-year class and our returning students.
