Hello, I have watched your vocal lession videos on you tube and I have a question, I sing for a Industrial metal band with alot of screaming vocals. what I want is to produce screaming vocals much like the ones from the vocalist of the band (American Head Charge) but it seems everytime I try I end up with more of a growl like im singing for a death metal or hardcore band? any tips on how to work on that and correct the problem?

I added a video from American Head Charge to give you an Idea of what Im wanting to achieve. I Hope you can help and im looking forward to viewing more of your vocal training videos.

hi thank you for the lessons here on you tube. i have some questions concerning resonence, and range. my experience is that, yes, i can only go so high while in my chest, but i can move my resonance up into my head or to my nazal or to my mouth. now my range is broader when i take my resonance up into my head. i am able (but not consistant) to resonate in the top of my head and still be in full voice--not falsetto, and still maintain a full male range. there has been times when i kept my voice in the head and vocalized from low bass E up to the E above tenor range. in full voice not falsetto. now i admit that this is not a consistant ability yet! but at the time my instructor was teaching me to control the placement of the note regardless of the register. it takes a lot of concentration, but one can learn to do it. do you agree or not. am i on the wrong path?

Hi!!! The reason why I post videos here, is partly because I am out of work right now (and cant afford singing lessons), and i find that I do put extra effort into my singing just knowing someone might watch it. If you find the time, please drop by and listen to my singing. So great that you are here, and do give advise, I guess there are alot aroud that dont have the cash to afford expensive lessons:-) Blessings to you!! Mariann

Hi Ron,

I used your advice and I just posted a vid of me singing an erykah badu song "tyrone" I think it sounds okay, but of course there is always room for improvement, as I am sure other youtubers will not neglect to tell me! : ) could you let me know what you think when you get a chance? Thanks
