"I think that the climate will not be a big problem, because we all play in both the heat and cold, we have all played on artificial and natural turf. This year our team, for example, played in Belarus in the cold. As for the artificial turf, you would see during a training how the ball bounces and how to run on the field. But I think that this should not worry us much, during a match we should be focused on the game."

Manchester United prepared at their Carrington training ground before flying to northern Portugal for their Champions League match against Braga.

Victory would keep up their one hundred percent record in Group H and, more importantly, guarantee Sir Alex Ferguson's men a place in next year's knockout stages.

The match against Braga is the second of a double header, after United came from two goals down at Old Trafford to beat the Portuguese side two weeks ago.

Striker Javier Hernandez scored twice in that match, and could be recalled to the starting line up after sitting on the sub's bench for Saturday's 2-1 English Premier League win over Arsenal.

Defender Jonny Evans also scored against Braga, and he is expected to continue at centre-half, as United continue to struggle with injuries in that position.

Chris Smalling is back in training, but Ferguson says he is unlikely to be ready in time, while Nemanja Vidic and Phil Jones are still out.

Fellow central defender Rio Ferdinand celebrates his 34th birthday on the day of the match, and this could be his last game of this season's group stages.

Ferguson has said he will rest the veteran defender from their two remaining group games, away at Galatasaray and at home against Cluj, if United guarantee qualification for the last sixteen.

Midfielder Shinji Kagawa is the other major injury absentee.

Braga are currently third in Group H, just a point behind second placed Cluj, so a win for them would greatly increase their chances of qualifying for the knockout stages.
