This is not a perfect test. The video could have been synced better, I could have done a more graphically intesive game, etc.
I just wanted to see what was better for recording Minecraft. What do you guys think?
Visually, there's not really much of a difference.
However, overall, they both have their pros and cons.
For example,
- FRAPS works with pretty much anything, while OBS has a pretty sizeable list of games that it is *not* compatible with. (pro for fraps, con for OBS)
- OBS lets you use your graphics card to encode, while FRAPS relies solely on the CPU. (pro for OBS, con for FRAPS)
- FRAPS is easier (pro for fraps)
- OBS is more customizable. (pro for OBS)
