Started in 2007, the NESguide successfully produced one gameplay video for each of the 749 unique titles produced for the original 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in the North American market. We are now working to replace older videos that were captured via composite video (480p or less) with videos that were captured via HDMI using the Retrozone AVS (720p 60fps).

The classic North American NES catalog of games (both licensed and unlicensed) is the primary scope of the NESguide. However, some related games of particular interest are also included selectively; Japanese Famicom (NTSC-J) and European (PAL) releases, prototypes, translations, homebrews, etc.

NESguide videos are free from commentary and are intended to serve more as a historical archive for reference, educational and/or nostalgic purposes than a source of entertainment. Thanks for your support!
