Hey Randall, I have a question. My Crane on my Claw Machine is not closing. I tried to replace the coil and I tighten the screws where it hooks up to and re-solder it on the magnet and still nothing. I check all of the plugs and every thing was tight. Is the magnet fried or what do I do?

Ok, I get it now. Finally. Sorry. So you took the wire off that wrapped several times around the coil and replaced it right? Well, that is something i never do. if the gauge of the wire isnt the same or if you dont have the same exact wraps of wire around the coil then it wont be strong enough. I would just order a whole new coil and swap the part out thats what i do. they are usually 30 bucks delivered.

I am trying to repair a The Gobbler Skill Crane. It needs a replacement torsion spring for retracting the claw. Do you know where I can get a replacement one?

+Draco Pendragon Hey thanks for your question. Do you feel like the spring doesnt have enough tension to work? A common spring problem in the gantry can be repaired by whinding the spring around one or two more times to create a stronger spring rather than actually getting a replacement. A good hardware store (non-home depot) would have a decent spring collection I have drawn from before

Cool channel man! Saw you on Vendiscuss. I like how you encourage learning the art of self locating as that is exactly where I am at right now and feeling a little bit demoralized. Only been out 2 days though. I keep reminding myself I'm learning and the work done on the front end should pay out on the back end. This is leading up to a request. Please make a video on the art of self locating! A step by step approach might be helpful. Do i start by calling around? or drive around and make stops? I found driving i rarely was able to connect with managers. what do you bring? what do you say? How do you narrow down where to try? those are the kinds of questions i am having at the moment!
