Thanks to the few of you who actually bothered to show your support for what I was doing here by subscribing. I'd also like to thank those of you who took the time to make encouraging comments on some of my videos.

You know, for a while I attempted to look at subscriptions and views as insubstantial, since I had so few. But the reality of it is, whether I like it or not, those things are a measurement of progress and approval in this web 2.0 system. If no one knows about you, you don't really have the chance to share what you are doing.

If a few people do actually get to see you somehow and they don't subscribe, you must conclude that they're not really interested in what you're doing. If you have no chance to be seen though,(and I mean without spamming and/or begging), nothing else can happen anyway, so it's pointless to continue.

Valentina "ValsArtDiary" (Although you never subbed me, you're still cool for making it a point to stick around for hours after you post a new vid, so you can interact with your friends and viewers, every Sunday. Plus you favorited my Val gets a Sprite vid, hehehe.)

MGIB (You're a cool cat. I don't think I could walk up to total strangers like that and start asking them questions about the movie they just saw. Heck, in some areas, that could make for an um...interesting situation. One minute you're asking a few rednecks their opinion on "Jumper" and the next thing you know, you're filming, "KKKloverfield2 -Run Brotha Run!" :-o )

Paperlilies (for...oh wait, she unsubbed me. Nuts to her. :P)

And last but certainly not least, Christine "Happyslip" (Let's face it, if I hadn't seen your nuts, I wouldn't have been inspired to come here in the first place. Uh...Mixed Nuts that is. :-)

I was feeling completely hopeless and altogether in a state of despair because I had found out that the one girl that I had loved and longed for, for 20 + years was actually now married. I was in a dark place then. My soul was shattered, my faith broken, my hope for a future...any future, dissolved away.

But then, there you were in this Mixed Nuts video, amazing me with your talent and bringing a much needed smile to my face with your humor. It was soon after I watched a few more of your videos, that I decided to refocus my creative energies into this video medium.

I threw my reservations aside and I stepped out more than I'd ever done before in my life and started my account here on YouTube.

Since you were my inspiration, I had hoped that we could connect creatively at some point and maybe even work together on something. I guess that most people are happy just to be fans but I was looking to be friends.

Now that I see that YouTube is little more than a graveyard where hopes and dreams go to die, I must leave this place that has ignored my heart and soul. However, despite YouTube's failings, I still have reason to hope, thanks again to you Christine.

Because of you, I found out about the "Revverlution", so my hope will not have to die here. You're a very special person and a true blessing in so many ways. I'm really glad that I discovered you and the world that you've created. I can't imagine my world now, without a Happyslip in it. :-D ).

And so, at my one year anniversary, this chapter closes and hopefully a new one will open elsewhere. Who knows, perhaps one day YouTube will actually develop back into something worthwhile, where talent, creativity, and the soul of the individual will be welcomed again and have the chance to be seen and shared with the whole world.

Yes, perhaps one day.
